"Are we leaving anytime soon?" I looked up from my book to my mothers smiling face. I smiled back and nodded.
"Pretty soon actually. Parker woke up a few hours ago, you better, I'm better, so now we can all go home or the new home." My mothers face looked concerned. "Ma? What's wrong?"
"Its... I... I just wish. I could have changed things from being this way for you. I'm so sorry." Hers eyes started to water up. I scooter on to the bed and held her.
"Mom, its not your fault. My father is a cruel..."
"No, no. Your father was the most amazing man in the world. He was sweet and gentle, loving and playful." I was officially confused.
"Mom... wait," I remembered now. "So, he really isn't my father."
"No, the man, that creature, isn't even remotely kin to you. Your father was a good man, baby, and you remind me if him everyday." I couldn't help but stare off. All these years, all the stories cuddles, and kisses and that man wasn't my father.
"Who is my dad?" I looked to my mother for answers.
"Your father was my mate, my real mate." Tears started to fall from her eyes. As horrible as it sounded I didn't care, I wanted answers.
"Your father was Grayson Neil."
