"Yn." I groaned while turning to face the door. "What?"

"Get up we gotta go to the studio." I sucked my teeth and pulled the blanket over my face.

"I quit I don't wanna do it anymore."

"Look you can't quit after they already paid you to do the song."
"Can't I just give him his money back." I lifted up and leaned against the headboard.

"And how do you expect to get paid?" I shrugged my shoulders. "My mom will give me money."

He shook his head. "Get up and be ready by 8."

I sucked my teeth while watching him leave the room. The fuck they think this is. I need my beauty sleep.

"I'm just tired." I responded to the producer who kept asking me if I really wanted to do this. I know I sound horrible right now, but what do you expect I just woke up.

It's too damn early and I'm grumpy as hell. "Ard just repeat that verse." I nodded my head and began to sing.

"Yes nigga now give me the damn gun." He sucked his teeth and handed it over. And I shoved it into the duffel bag.

"If ma momma and them ask where im at tell em you haven't talked to me since yesterday."

I walked towards the door.

"When you plan on doing this anyway?"

"Tonight?" I said before exiting the door.

"I don't wanna go." I whined while eating a plateful of freshly baked cookies.

"Yes you do y'all need to be on good terms for the baby." I kissed my teeth.

"You acting like she's the father." "It don't matter she's the aunt and be ready by 3:00 yall going shopping."

"I'm not-." He hung up before I could finish.

Why would I want to be alone with someone who doesn't like me. I don't wanna be alone with her so I'm inviting someone to come along.

"I'll be in footlocker." Yn told me while I waited by the entrance. She didn't want to wait anymore.

I nodded my head and sat on the bench waiting by the entrance.

"Mariah!" I yelled engulfing her into a hug. "Hey boo."

"Why did you come to the mall by yourself anyway?"

"I didn't, let's stop there." She nodded her head and followed me into Helzberg Diamonds.

"So who are you here with?"

"Yn." I responded while looking at the jewelry through the glass.

"What you doing?" Destiny asked me over the phone. "Nothing at the mall."

"So you gon go to the mall without me?" "I wasn't even planning on coming here today Yazz made me come here with Jasmine."

"She with you right now?" "No I don't where she at I left her by the entrace."

"Excuse me." I said to the girl in a footlocker uniform. "Can I get these." I pointed towards the Air Jordan 12 GS's in purple and black.

She nodded her head and went to the back. "You talked to Lucas?" "No I haven't talked to him in two days I've been in the studio and preparing for graduation."

"Yaaasss class of 2016 we finna be lit." "You already know."

The girl came back with the box. "Thank you." I said while she gave me a warm smile. I walked towards the counter and paid for my shoes.

Before I left the girl stopped me again. "I'm so sorry and I don't want to bother you but can I get a picture." I nodded my head and put the bag down to pose for the picture."

"Thank you so much." I nodded my head and left the store.

"Who was that?" I shrugged my shoulders. "It was just some girl that worked at the store she wanted to take a picture."

My phone buzzed, so I pulled it from my ear. It was a text message from Jasmine telling me to meet her at the food court.

I got to the food court and looked around for her. I noticed her at table waving me down. As I walked closer I saw someone sitting in front of her.

When I reached the table the girl in front of her turned around. Resulting in me scrunching my face up in disgust.

And this is where the drama begins.
