The Arrangement Chapter 1
"I hate your music!"
"Well I don't care what you think!" I say to the little ten year old boy staring back with fury in his eyes.
"I mean what genre do you fit into? You need to pick one!" The ten year old screams toward my direction.
"I have picked one! It's called shove it-"
Before my angry self can finish Milly shuts the tv off. I, on the other hand, bury my head in my knees because I know what's coming next.
"A ten year old Ashly, seriously! Couldn't you have just agreed to disagree?" Milly screams. I'm used to it though because I have no filter on my mouth so I get yelled at a lot, mainly from Milly.
"I'm sorry. He shouldn't have told me his opinion if I didn't want to hear it. He was obviously seeking for my opinion!" I say but my words are kind of mumbled because my head is still buried in my knees.
"Oh my gosh what am I going to do with you?You do realize you are now plastered on the cover of every important magazine and not for good reasons Ashly!" Milly says intertwining her fingers in her hair. This gesture, I have learned, is one of anger and aggravation. It happens mostly when she's around me.
"Milly I know. I feel horrible and I've already apologized to you more than once."
"How about you apologize to the little boy you screamed at?" Milly suggests.
"How about I don't, because it's pretty obvious that he doesn't get punished at home so he deserved a good yelling at. I mean seriously has no one taught him manners. He just stood there and screamed at me while his mother stood and watched as she smacked her gum and twirled her hair. That's just pathetic and don't even get me started on-"
"That's not the point! The point is that you may have hurt his feelings, and people are talking horribly about you, and your not very likable as is, you don't need to give more people, more reasons not to like you!"
"I can't help it that people don't like to hear the truth!" I say.
"Did you really have to tell the talk show host last week, that quote, 'why would I take relationship advice from you when you've had as much husbands as I've had cookies." She pauses for a second, "and you eat cookies non-stop Ashly!"
Milly once again begins to run her fingers through her hair, as much times as she does this I'm surprised she even has any hair left.
I let out a light laugh, even though I'm one hundred percent positive that Milly does not find any of this funny. "and that was the truth! That's what's wrong with this generation they get they're feelings hurt to easily. Plus she saw it coming she basically told me I would never get a boyfriend. That's just plain out rude and disrespectful to myself."
"Well I believe her by the way you're acting! No one wants to date someone who's rude all the time and doesn't have a filter on their mouth."
I let out a groan and excuse myself from this conversation, walking into the kitchen. All this yelling is making me realize that I haven't had my cup of coffee this morning. I walk toward my Kuerig and begin brewing my cup. I guess what I call coffee some people would just call creamer, but call it what you want.
"Ash I'm leaving but I'll be back, and when I do you better have an apology ready to send out to all publicists, and the ten year old little boy!" Milly screams slamming the door on her way out.
"Okay, good seeing you too." I say after she's out of sight.
Milly if you haven't guessed by now, is my manger. I've been in the media now for a year and she's been with me since day one. She gets annoying, as you can see, but I couldn't do it without her, and her annoyance. I guess. Although I've also never really tried.
