A Different Future

Chapter 4

                 

The train hooted as I stepped onto the platform when I hoped this year was going to be different I just never thought carrying three babies would cover it. Anyway I stepped onto the train and looked for some of my fellow Ravenclaw's you may be wondering why not look for Cedric well the truth is that I'm petrified of telling him. This was a mistake and now I was paying the price. It's not that I didn't want to be a mum or that I would be having Cedric's but it was my age. I was still in school and I didn't have any means in which to support three. I sighed and the spotted Cho she was a fourth year where as i was in sixth.

"Hello Cho" she looked up from her book and smiled at me

"Hi Pippa" I sat down across from her and she had a look of confinement on her face

"Shouldn't you be sitting with Cedric Diggory" she wondered

"I thought i might have a change I'll leave if you want." I went to stand up but she but me off.

"No its fine it's just a surprise. how was your holidays" she asked me. I thought of how to put it before saying something

"eventful" she smiled i looked at the daily prophet which was talking about the world cup they had no clue as to what or even how it happened. according to Amos there was a bunch of security but they still managed to get through. This kind of scared me because if they can get through that much security what else can they get through. there was a tap on the window and I saw my owl moon with a letter.

"Moon?" I opened the window and he jumped onto my hand i took the letter then placed him on my shoulder where he nipped my hair fondly I opened the letter up.

Dearest Philippa

I'm writing to inform you that upon your return to Hogwarts I have arranged a meeting with Professor Dumbledore where we shall inform him of your situation and discuss options to make your year relatively normal yet comfortable.

I have arranged the meeting not long after you arrive and he has assured me that someone with come to get you. Now in the meantime I hope you have found a way to tell Cedric of what has arisen because of the nature it will not be long before you show.

I sighed and folded the letter then fed moon a treat and put the letter in my pocket I then grabbed my ink, quill and parchment while Cho had gone back to reading.

Cedric

sorry i'm  not with you at the moment but after dinner this evening meet me in the estornomy tower.

I knew if I put my full name he would be more inclined to come seen as I never used my full name unless when something was bothering me. He being the great best friend he is will do whatever to make it right. Making it into a origami bird i sent it off to fid Cedric then I pulled out one of my books for this year and began to read. I wanted to get a head start because for this year i would certainly need it.

"Anything from the trolley" I stood up with Cho and went to get something to eat.

"two pumpkin pasties please" Cho asked I saw Harry Potter come out he smiled at her and she left

"two pumpkin pasties and a couldren cake please" I was handed my food and i saw Hermione

"Hey Hermione" i smiled

"hi Pippa" I left back to my cart.

"Do you have enough" Cho asked

"What I'm hungry"

I changed into my school robes and we arrived at the station. We took carriages to the school and I was greeted by Professor Flitwick.

"Miss Blackthorn if you will follow me please" i nodded and he took me in a separate carriage. I was lead through the halls and to the entrance into the headmasters office.

"leamondrops" the eagle moved and revealed the staircase I took the stairs and lead to a hall where there was a door I knocked on the door.

"enter"  the Professor and I entered I saw that my Mum was already here. I went and hugged her.

"Hello Miss Blackthorn. I hope you don't mind but i have asked Professor Flitwick to preside over this meeting being your head of house after all" I nodded and smiled at him weakly.

"please sit...leamondrop" I declined and sat down.

"now your mother tells me you have some news which will affect your school year" he stated i looked at my mum who nodded encouragingly.

"Yes I'm pregnant" i came out with it I heard a gasp from Madam Pomfrey.

"I see and the father" he showed no overwhelming emotion.

"Cedric Diggory sir" I mumbled

"I think I speak not only for myself but for my daughter in that we don't want her pregnancy to interrupt her entire school year. Of course it will change some aspects." Mum spoke

"There something else" I added

"there is" I nodded

"I'm having triplets which according to the mediwitch is very rare so during the later month i will be huge and may have to have them here. Please don't let me give up this year I want to finish on time. all my scores are good and" he silenced me

"I know very well and rare as it is you are a excellent student" I held my breath

"We have always been accepting and I see no reason why now should be any different" I grinned "You will be given your own quarters anyway and during the year we shall rearrange some thing to accommodate you. I believe your mediwitch will be making regular visits"

"Yes sir"

"Very well she will work with Madam Pomfrey to make sure your pregnancy goes well. Do you plan on telling Mr Diggory"

"I plan on telling him after the welcome feast"  

"okay we shall speak soon why don't you go back to your fellow Ravenclaw's while I talk with your mother" I nodded I hugged my Mum one last time and left.
