I made my way to the great hall and sat down with other sixth years
"Jake" I whispered he looked over at me and smiled he was Head Boy of Ravenclaw Where I was head girl
"Did you sort out the prefects on the train I was busy" I whispered

"Great I'll do the first years tour" he nodded
the new first years came in and we got six new Ravenclaw's which I great. Professor Dumbledore stood at his podium holding his hands up we all fell into silence.
"I would like to welcome you all to a new year at Hogwarts this year will be like no other I can promise you that. now for first year students the dark forest is out of bounds to all years for those who do not want to peril. For all third years now is your time to travel on outings to hogsmeade to do so requires permission. I also warn first years that neither you or second years are allowed to travel outside of the grounds. To all Quidditch players this year's tournament is cancelled due to a very special event which I shall explain more next month. now let the feast begin"
I grabbed a variety of stuff which I new was safe and I could go long without bringing it back up I smiled at dessert and took strawberries and cream. Professor stood up once again.
"Now the we've delved into the magnificent food I ask the head boys and girls as well as prefects to come to the front. i came up along with Jake and prefects.
"Take a good look everyone because apart from your teacher prefect and head's will be able to give points as well as take them away. So make sure you don't break any rules please"
"Unless your called Fred and George Weasley" I commented the professor chuckled
"now of to bed with you first years follow your chosen guide" other years scurried off to the common room while I stepped forward.
"hello first year Ravenclaws welcome to Hogwarts my name is Phillipa Blackthorn but you may call me Pippa I'm head girl for the Ravencalw house . this is Jake Rosewood is head boy" I took a breath
"These are Penny, Tony, Agatha and Seth they are prefects. before we take you to the common room I have this to say. I know first year can be daunting but with perseverance you will get through if you have any trouble don't be afraid to ask us or other prefects were here to help. Well that is unless you're caught breaking rules. now follow me the coast should be clear." I smiled we walked through the halls.
"Now I won't bore you with facts at this time of night but I will give you just a few if you have any pressing matters or something you feel we can't deal with please feel free to go to our head of house Professor Flitwick who conveniently teaches charms. As you've seen this evening we have many ghost residents our house ghost is the grey lady but I would ask you to call her Miss Ravenclaw also known as Helena Ravenclaw daughter to our founder.
One ghost you should be on the lookout and cautious at all times is Peeves like the Weasley twins from Gryffindor he loves to prank and play joke more so on us prefects and first years. Breakfast will be served at eight till nine classes start at five past nine on weekends its from eight till ten." we stopped outside Ravenclaw door.
"Now unlike the other houses to gain entrance into our common room and dorm you must answer a riddle. Get it wrong your locked out until someone comes to your aid one chance per person i banged the knocker and the raven came alive

I thought about it and smiled
"socks" the Rave went still and the door opened "follow me everyone" we walked inside and I stood to address everyone
"Welcome to the Ravenclaw Common Room from here you can get to your dorms girls on the left boys to your right. You will have find all your belongings have arrived there already. Goodnight everyone" the first years rushed to their dorms
"Very good as usual" I smiled
"Can you take things from here I have to meet Cedric" he nodded
"Great oh meeting tomorrow guys I have some important news to share with you" I left the common room .
