The One

When the bell rang for dismissal, I was looking all over for Hunter. I saw Lexi and her group all staring at me, then all of a sudden I heard a voice calling my name.

"Elena, wait!" Said Hunter.

So I turned around and waited for Hunter.

"Hey, I'm really sorry that this is last minute but I can't come over because, my parents told me that Lexi's family invited me to dinner and I have to go." Said Hunter worriedly.

"Look I get it, I'm not to good enough for you, you could of just told me." I stopped taking and just walked away.

"Elena,...wait!" Said Hunter

I ran home as quickly as I could and all I could hear was Lexi and her little group laughing at me. I looked back and I saw Hunter running after me.

"Elena! Stop!" Said Hunter yelling.

I quickly turned around and I saw a car coming my way. I tried to move but it was too late, it hit me. I felt my body flipping through the air and hitting the ground. I hit my head so hard it started to bleed. I couldn't move cause everything hurted. I saw Hunter running quickly towards me and yelling for help.

"Someone call 911!" Said Hunter yelling.

The driver that hit me called 911 and they came 5mins later. Meantime I lost consciousnesses. I didn't know what was happening. I could feel the paramedics trying to give me mouth to mouth. They were trying to save me but nothing helped. One of them thought I feel into a coma, and I thought that to.

....

They brought me to the hospital, and the doctors started to do a lot of tests. And they found out that I did fall in a coma. So u know how people say that people can hear everything when you are in a coma. Well that's true, I heard everything the nurses and doctors were talking about. I was scared though. A couple of minutes later I heard footsteps and a familiar voice walking in.

"Hey, I know you can't hear me right now but it's Hunter. I just want you to know that I'm here for you and I won't leave. And I'm sorry." Said hunter while holding my hand.

The doctor walked in and told Hunter to give me sometime to myself. So Hunter got up and I could feel his lips press against  my forehead. But I could also feel a tear fall off of him and onto me.

"Bye." Hunter said before leaving the room.

I heard the doctor talking to Hunter in the hallway.

"So...are you like Elena's boyfriend or something?" Said the doctor.

"I'm....a close friend." Hunter said frowning.

"So will she wake up anytime soon?" Hunter said with hope.

"That's the thing... It could take...weeks or even..months and sometimes even....years. But she could wake up anytime even though there could be a chance of her losing her.....memory." Said the doctor worried.

I could hear crying coming from Hunter. I felt horrible even though it wasn't my fault for running into that car. I didn't know what to do.."

"Can I see...her?" Said Hunter trying not to cry.

"Well..of course." Said the doctor.
