I woke up bathed in golden light. I could see my best friend Fiona still laying in her bed sleeping quietly. I yawned and sat up, stretching.
I felt like shit that morning, but continued to get ready for school later in the day.
"Fiona," I mumbled, shaking her to try and wake her. She moaned, and pushed some of her beautiful blonde hair out of her eyes.
"What?" She groaned, turning to face me.
I grinned, "Get up. It's Tuesday."
"Ugh." Fiona sighed sadly and got out of bed.
I pulled on my black skinny jeans and a black and white striped tank top with my grey sweater. I felt light headed as I brushed my brown wavy hair.
"You okay, Kylie?" Fiona asked me as I brushed my hair. I turned around to see her in a PINK sweatshirt and skinny jeans. She had her blonde hair in two messy buns and was eyeing me strangely. "You look like you're about to throw up."
I shook my head, "I'm okay."
"Okay. Let's go get some food." She said with a smile, grabbing my hand and bringing me into the hallway crowded with other girls my age. I grinned at her and dragged her down the stairs to where the little kitchen and large dining room was held.
I could see Miss White and Mrs. Ashley cook in the kitchen, and Miss Charles feeding the three babies and the toddlers sitting at the small dining room in the kitchen.
"I'll go get you an omelet." Fiona told me as we entered the dining room. I nodded and went to the end of the table where Sarah, Tessa, and Brandon sat eating some cereal and pancakes. I sat down next to Brandon, who gave me a slight smile, and I waited for Fiona.
A few minutes later Fiona came in with two plates and two cups of hot chocolate. I graciously took them and we sat, talking about music and tumblr posts. Every night we sit there in the office and use the laptop Miss Charles bought for us secretly, and we watch Netflix and tumblr there quietly while we snuggle in there with chai lattes.
As I ate my omelet I felt like I would be sick, "One second." I said to Fiona and ran out of the dining room, a few girls and boys looking at me weirdly as I ran to the downstairs bathroom.
I puked instantly and sat there for a few minutes, hot tears streaming down my face. I knew i felt sick earlier.
There was a knock on the door, "Sweetheart? Is that you, Kylie?" I heard Miss Charles's soft voice asked.
"Yeah it's Kylie." I moaned, leaning my head against the door facing the toilet.
"Fiona said you may be sick."
"I am."
"Okay, then sweetie open the door and I can get you some tea or something. I can make some toast and you need to go back to bed."
"Fine." I mumbled and stood up slowly, my legs shaking. I flushed the toilet, put down the toilet seat, and sat down.
I unlocked the door and Miss Charles opened it, smiling softly at me, "Aw, Kylie. Sweetheart let's get you back to bed."
I nodded and she picked me up by the armpits and brought me out of the bathroom with her arms around me, pushing me up the stairs.
She opened up my door and I instantly fell into my bed. She handed me my pajamas from earlier and told me to change while she made some tea. "Oh yeah, sweetie, there will be some people coming by. If you hear some noises don't be worried. If you feel any better just come to Mrs. White's room up here so she'll know."
