I sat there on the sofa thinking. I didn't want the "fandom" to know about me yet, I would wait a few days, maybe early next week, and then finally tell the world about who I am and Jack would have to tell the fandom as well that apparently "septiplier" was real all along.
"Kylie? Kylie?" I heard with thumps up the stairs, seeing vibrant green hair before the rest of Jack's happy Irish face holding his phone in one hand. "Ah! There you are. So I called the school you used to go to and told them the situation. The only problem is that we don't live in the same district."
My eyes widened. I wouldn't see Fiona again, for a long time. "Really?"
Jack nodded, "I'm sorry, Kylie. It's a great way to make new friends though."
"But I'm an antisocial potato, Jack, I can't just suddenly change-"
"Yeah you can though, this is a new school. New chances to change yourself."
"Holy shit you're right." I mumbled, getting a wide eyed look from Jack before he started cracking up.
"So you're okay with the idea then? Otherwise we can look into homeschooling you?" He bit his lip, "Might be the best option now that I think of it, you could get bullied for having Mark and I as your parents."
I put my hair in a quick ponytail while I thought for a few minutes, now there were more things to choose, and already I was stressed out. I felt pressure in my sides and my head started to hurt. "Jack," I whispered, clenching my stomach, "can you get me some medicine and toast please?"
His eyes widened as he nodded and ran down the staircase. I felt much better earlier, this was most likely from the stress and taking in everything that's happening... Right?
I slowly stood up and started for my room down the hall. I opened the door and saw my small bag and backpack laying near my bed, and also Chica in the corner of my room on a dog bed. I smiled weakly at the sleeping dog before climbing into my bed and trying my best not to throw up.
Jack showed up in my room seconds later with toast, ginger ale, and medicine with a huge bottle of water. He rested his hand on my forehead, "You feel really hot."
"I don't think I'm sick anymore, though. Maybe it's from stress." I quietly replied while taking each pill one by one.
He nodded, "Well then I'm sorry if this happened because of this situation. I don't want you to be this way, Kylie. I'll stay in here." He crawled over to the other side of my bed and laid down. "We can just talk."
I smiled at him and grabbed my plate full of toast, setting it down between us. "So do you miss anyone from the adoption center?" Jack asked, snatching a piece of toast and taking a bite with a sad smile.
"Yeah." I admitted. I didn't want to tell him that I loved Fiona and had feelings for her, but I would tell him about her. "It's my friend Fiona."
"Aw, I'm sorry." Jack said with his mouth full.
I waved it off, "It's fine, it's fine. I just miss her a lot and wish that she was here too."
"Was she the other girl we were going to look into?"
"Yeah. She's my best friend."
"Kylie, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Jack, I promise." It wasn't fine. I missed her so much. She was like my way to not feel so hard about my parents death. To not feel like it was my fault... Because she was there too.
He sat up and gave me a light hug, "I'll go see what Mark is doing. Do you want pizza or anything for dinner?"
"Sounds good." I whispered and turned over to face the wall full of books. "I love you Jack."
"Love you too, Kylie."
