Summary: Hogwarts au- Jack and Merida were most arrogant towards eachother since the first day they met. One night, as they are united by friends, they feel a connection that they can't avoid.
"Shut up, Frost." She yelled, scowl spread on her face.
"Why should I? You're one to talk, Mudblood." Jack spat.
It was the middle of the night, Their friends Hiccup and Rapunzel, prefects, had turned a blind eye as they met up in the middle of the hallway, trying to steer everyone away from the room of requirement. Their friends stood outside the wall of which the door had long since disappeared.
It was both their faults, the two teens. Although Jack was the stereotypical Slytherin who rarely got along with anyone of muggle blood, Merida was arrogant and unforgiving. She schemed revenge over small things and kicked him off of his broom during matches as stealthily as she could. But as they were both seekers, that wasn't too difficult. Whatever Jack said Merida disagreed, so that was up to her, however Jack held one thing against her, and it was her family, which was no less wrong. Maybe Jack had started it, but Merida was far too pushy to let it go, even if Jack was willing to let the battle go himself.
"How long do you think they'll be in there?" Rapunzel sighed, tiredly.
Hiccup yawned, "I dunno, whenever they realize they've been tricked."
Rapunzel agreed it might take awhile.
If only they could hear what fowl words we're erupting from both of them.
"Jack! If that's the only thing you have to threaten me with then you can-".she threatened, but was cut off.
"Red, I have lot more than that. You snapped my broom in half!" He scowled back at her, she never liked the constant vocabulary of Nick names he'd seemed to spend too much time putting together.
"Yer the idiot who went plunging towards the ground!"
"BECAUSE YOU PUSHED ME." He took a big step towards her as they glared.
"Well you were in mah way. Yer always in mah way." She clutched her fists as she hastily through herself forward a bit, just under his nose.
"Because you never stay out of mine." He said, matter-of-factly. He clenched his teeth as she arched her eyebrows.
"The only thing keeping me from punching you in the face is-"
"I should be the one to punch you, but I can't so-" Jack was cut off again by the red head who gave a look of determination.
"Just do it. Nothin is stopping yeh." She said. He continued to scowl. He didn't actually want to punch her, but he felt if she weren't a girl he would be able to without being a total jerk. She knew this, so she kept taunting.
"What's the matter? Yer just a wee lamb aren't-" she was cut off by the brief moment of his hands lunging toward her. A brief moment where she thought he was actually about to hit her,- wait, she didn't actually want to punch him, maybe stab him in the eye later, but this was too much- he grabbed her by the shoulders and smashed his lips against hers. She was wide eyed-this definitely wasn't a punch, and he should know that- she felt herself giving in. In any situation before this she would've pulled back and buried his head in the pavement but all of a sudden she couldn't resist as her hands tangled into his brown hair and his arms wandered to her back, pulling her close. They seemed lost in the moment.
They didnt realize they were both kissing their enemy, they'd rather have kissed filch before this. Now that they did kiss, they only wanted to feel the arms of eachother.
Meanwhile, their clueless friends had turned around to see the door appeared in plain sight. They opened the door, since now that it was there, they'd stopped fighting. But to open the door to see they were much closer then they expected. Hiccup stared wide eyed, and Rapunzel snickered.
The Slytherin and Gryffindor were snaked around each other, and Hiccup dug 5 gallons out of his pocket and slid it into Rapunzels outstretched hand. "I told you," she muttered. She was only just loud enough for hiccup to hear, trying not to ruin the moment. As they continued to stare, hiccup forcefully whispered, "I thought he liked Toothiana, okay??"
With another giggle, They closed the door, and made another bet about how long it'll be before they finally leave.
So this chapter basically implies that I know way too much about Harry Potter and yeah this was too adorable for me. And what do you guys think of the new cover? I kept messing up while I designed it because the original 3 photos that I overlayed aren't transparent so this was basically my definition of hell. Anyways, you like it (please like it)?
