Ch.13: Memories

My vision faded in and out everything was blurry, everything was bright. My body ached as I sat up, but when I looked at my uniform it was as if nothing had happened. Was I expecting something to be there, I can't remember. I looked around but nothing was there. I was in this empty void. If there were walls I couldn't tell, but it seemed like it went on forever.

“Blood”

I turned around but nothing was there. “Who said that? Where am I?”

“So much blood”

Everything went dizzy, I fell to the ground and closed my eyes. When I opened them I was in a dim room. I felt a bad sense of nostalgia, as I looked around I noticed a little girl.

“Hey are you okay? What are you doing here?” I went to put my hand on her shoulder but realized the pool of blood that surrounded her.

“I didn't mean to, I had no choice, they were going to hurt us.” she looked up at me but before I could look at her a painful ringing appeared. I covered my ears as I fell to the ground crying out in pain. And like that I was all alone. Back into the void.

What is that, I looked around me

Where's that coming from.

I looked down and saw as my white shirt absorbed the crimson liquid only to drop it to the ground. I froze and realized the metallic taste that has taken over my mouth. “Am I dead?” I asked myself. Memories of what happened came flooding back and then his face appeared.

“Rin.” I said barely audible as hot tears ran down my face. I yet again fell to the ground thinking of my brother and friends. My family. Everything darkened as I sobbed, and then I felt the breeze and heard the rustling of the tree's. I opened my eyes and realized I was lying on the floor I could barely move. I picked myself up and looked at my ruined clothes. My injuries looked liked bruises now, but I didn't dare look at my stomach. My blood drenched clothes had already started turning that brownish color in some area's. I looked at the sky it was still night. “Rin!” I looked at my phone it had already been hours since I was supposed to meet him. One missed call, from him. “Damn it!” I started running toward the fountain hoping he would be there. I knew the chances of that actually being true were slim, but I wanted it to be true so badly. My body ached as I sprinted toward my destination. It wanted to give up on me so badly, but I needed to make it. At least get me to the fountain, I thought. I saw the fountain appear in the distance. I slowed down my pace “Rin..” I tried to yell. “RIN!!!” I shouted and tripped in the process. I looked up I was right in front of the fountain, but no Rin. I sighed to myself and closed my eye’s.

“Raven?!, Raven!!” I heard yelling but I couldn't tell who it was. The owner of the voice picked me up. I could smell a familiar scent. I used the last of my energy to open my eye’s, to my surprise I was met with the most beautiful deep dark blue eyes.

“I can't believe you stayed.” Was the last thing I could say before I blacked out.

Rin’s POV

I tightly held Raven in my arms. She was all bloody, but she seemed to only have bruises. Until I realized her stomach barely healing. With this much blood she must have been like this for hours for her body to regenerate only this much. “What happened to you Raven?” I said to myself worriedly. I laid her down on one of the benches because I was scared the wound on her stomach would reopen if I carried her back. I took my jacket off and gently covered her overly exposed body and laid her head on my lap. Hours had passed I eventually dozed off but was woken up by her moving. She sat up and looked at me with confusion in her eyes and then the tears started to pour out. She embraced me into a hug. The only thing I could do was hold her tightly and rub her back trying to comfort her. “It's alright now, you're okay.” I gently spoke to her. She calmed down and let go of me I could still feel her warmth on my body. Our eyes met we were both speechless.

Raven’s POV

I couldn't explain how grateful I was to have him here with me. Is this gratefulness I feel? Or is it something else? Before I realized it our lips were together I don't know how we got like this or how it happened. I then realized what this feeling was. It was love. I wrapped my arms around his neck as the kiss got more intense, but I then realized the pain I was in.

“I'm sorry, you're hurt. Let's get you back okay.” He said after he pulled away from the kiss we just shared.

“Alright.” I agreed. Rin then took off his shirt and tore it into a long strip to wrap around my stomach.

“Sorry if it's too tight. I want to make sure it won't open again.” He said worryingly.

“It's okay it's not too bad.” I said as he finished tying it off and picking me up. “I can walk.” I said as I tried to protest.

“No you're hurt” he said very strongly I knew I wasn't gonna have a say in this so I let him carry me. On the way back to the dorms I explained what had happened. When I finished I could tell how angry he was towards the guys that attacked me.

“How dare they touch you like that. I'll kill them.” He said under his breath.

“It's okay.” I said as I laid my hand on his face so he would look at me. His face softened as he sighed.

“We're here.” He said. I opened the door with my arm so he could carry me in. I tried to get down after that but he insisted on carrying me up the stairs. As soon as we reached the top everyone came rushing towards us

“What happened?!”

“Omg Raven!? Are you okai?”

“Rin explain.”

So many questions were being asked at once.

“Guy’s!!” Rin yelled. “Let me put her down so we can treat her wounds.” He said as he pushed through them towards my room and gently laid me down. He ran his fingers threw my hair and tightly held my hand.

“Here I got this everyone out” Yukio said as he came in with the first aid kit. After he cleaned my wounds Caileigh helped me changed my clothes and Ryo helped me into bed.

“I'll explain everything in the morning I promise, but please let me get some sleep I'm exhausted.” Everyone understood and left the room. Everyone except Rin, he grabbed the desk chair and sat right next to my bed.

“I'll never leave you alone again.” He said as he grabbed my hand.

“I'm okay with that.” I said as I smiled at him and drifted off into sleep.

So thing's are finally falling into place but at the same time more questions are arising. I hope you like it so far thank you for all your support I'm glad I get to share my writing with you. Anyway untill next time :D
