Ch.5: Shiemi

"And that's why you're supposed to put butter on pancakes." Rin said giving me a wink. I gave him an "are you serious look." He sat back down and turned to me "how did I do."

"Do you want me to lie or do you want the truth"

"Umm....."

"Rin I gave you one task. To give an explanation about different types of demons and you give me stuff about buttering pancakes." Yukio said agitated. "Stay after class."

I looked at Rin, he looked disappointed. "Maybe next time." I said.

"Sorry I'm late I don't really know my way around here." A blonde girl in a kimono ran into the class.

"Its ok Shiemi, sit next to Ryo over there." Yukio said as he pointed Ryo out. I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but I already don't like her. Yup, no way of making that sound nice. Shiemi sat fien next to Ryo, behind Rin and and across across from me. (AN: We're getting specific ;P, Jk just ignore that)

The whole class period Rin kept turning around to talking to Shiemi, not that I care, but Yukio he had to keep scolding Rin and then the whole class would practically start a riot.

"Class dismissed, everyone but Rin can go." Yukio said

"Crap, I forgot that I have to stay." Rin whined.

I waited outside in the hall for Rin, I noticed Shiemi was there to. "Um. Shiemi are you lost?"

"No, I'm waiting for Rin."

"Oh, ok." I started to walk away Why does he need me then. I thought.

"Raven, where are you going. I thought you were going to wait for me like you always do."

"Huh, oh sorry. I thought you didn't want me to wait for you, since you ask Shiemi too." I said a little disappointed.

"We have to stick together remember." He said with a wink. I quickly regained my hopes. "But I have to show Shiemi around so you can go on ahead without me." And like that my hopes vanished.

"Oh, ok." I started to walk back to the dorm "were friends, we have to stock together." I said mocking Rins voice "bullshit." I kicked a rock and sent it flying. "Why do I even care, oh wait I don't he can go such his own di-"

"Hey Raven!" Some random boy came up to me.

"I'm sorry do I know you?" I said flatly.

"Um, no y-you see um.. My name is Danny, nice to meet you." I had to admit this Danny character was pretty good looking brown hair, grey eyes that you could get lost in, but he lacks confidence.

"Uh,Hi. Well you obviously know my name."

"Heh, yeah anyway I just wanted to meet you, we'll talk another time, okay?"

"'Kay'" he walked away and he slowly disappeared.

"What are we looking at?"

I turned around to see Ryo's face inches away from mine, more like centimeters. "Ahhh?!, what the hell Ryo, I mean heck." I tripped over my foot and fell to the ground.

"So what are you doing?" Ryo asked.

"I was heading home." I said blankly.

"Who was that guy you were talking to?"

"You know you ask a lot of questions. But to answer your question his name is Danny, he just wanted to say hi." I said getting off the ground and dusting the dirt off my butt.

"I'm sure he did." Ryo said with a smirk on his face. We started walking to the dorm building.

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean."

"Raven!"

"What!"

"No cursing!"

"Sorry."

"But anyway why wouldn't he? You're very beautiful."

"Aww, thank you." I said giving my big brother a hug. "But I know. He wouldn't like me, hey! You're my brother you not supposed to be hooking me up."

"I just want you to be happy." He opened the door and let me in.

"I'm going to my room." I gave my brother another hug and went to my room.

"I'm so bored. Wait, I know." I grabbed my guitar and started to play.

"All I am is a woman. I want the world in my hands. I hate the beach. But I stand. In California with my toes in the sand. Use the sleeves of my sweater. Let's have an adventure. Head in the clouds but my gravity's centered.

"Dinner is ready." Rin said

"Did you make it?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Of course." He said with a smirk.

"Let's go then! Race you!" I said running down the stairs with Rin right behind me.

"Children settle down we have guest." Yukio said sarcastically.

"What?" I looked around and saw Shiemi. I sat in the seat in front of her. There was an empty seat on either side of us

"Where are you going to sit Rin." Shiemi asked.

"Yeah." I joined.

"Um I guess I'll sit with....."
