Ch.9: Caileigh Valentine
"Listen up, summer vacation is less than a month and a half away. But before the break you're going to be taking this years Exwire's exam." Yukio started.
"Exwire exam?" Rin looked at me but I shrugged.
"I want everyone to keep in mind that once you're promoted to Exwire you will be subjected to more specialized combat training. The exam won't be easy to past its a two part test. First the written part to test you on your knowledge and then the field test to test your strength. Understood?" Everyone nodded in agreement. "Please indicate the Mister or title you would like to acquire on this form, turn it in next Monday. That is all, you can use the rest of class to associate."
"What the hell is a Mister?" Rin asked me.
"How do you expect me to know? Why don't you ask your guy friends over there." I said pointing to Shima, Konekomaru, and Ryuji.
"Nah, that Ryuji guy won't help me." He said staring at the form.
"Men" I thought to myself. "Come on let's go." I grabbed his hand and led him toward the group of guys.
"Would you mind telling us what these mean? Me and Rin don't really get it?" I said in my sweetest voice.
"Hey! I never sai-" I cut him off with a glare.
"So, could you tell us?" I said going back in character.
"Wow, you want to be exorcist but you don't know what a Mister is? Please." Ryuji said rolling his eyes.
"A knight, Tammer, Aria, Dragoon, and Doctor are different skills. They each do a different jobs in combat." Konekomaru explained to us "I suggest you go for Knight, they specialize in swordsmanship and I always see you with that." He continue referring to Rin's sword.
"Yeah, okay! I'll be a knight. What are you going to be Raven?" Rin said with excitement.
"I don't know maybe a Knight or Dragoon." I said unsure.
"Alright everyone back to your seats I have one more announcement." Yukio said as we took our seats.
"We have a new student, Caileigh Valentine." A girl with light brown hair walked in.
"Caileigh?!" I said surprised.
"Raven?!" She said in the same tone.
The bell rang
"Class dismissed."
"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?" I said hugging her.
"I could say the same thing to you?" She said with a smile. "Where's your brother Ryo?" She asked.
"I'm right here." He said giving Caileigh a hug.
"And who is this?" She said referring to Rin.
"Oh, Caileigh meet Rin, Rin meet Caileigh. She my best girl-friend and he's my best guy-friend."
"Hi." They said in unison.
"Hey Rin can you walk back to dorm by yourself I'm going to show Caileigh around."
"Yeah sure." He said kind of disappointed but I missed the hint.
"So what are you doing here?" I said starting to walk.
"I want to be an exorcist."
"I know that but why?"
"Remember, how my parents were killed by the blue flames, at the temple, well I want revenge. Don't worry I know you're good we've been best friends for so long and you've never proved me wrong plus your flames aren't blue, and I understand."
"Heh, y-yeah." Oh no Rin. Maybe she'll understand. "So what dorm did you get?" I said changing the subject.
"Um, 604."
"Really, that's my dorm room!"
"Yay!!" We jumped up in excitement.
"Come on let's go!" I grabbed her hand and we ran for it. When we arrived I stopped at the door. "There some things I need to tell you before you go in"
"What?"
"1. Its only five of us including you.
2. The rest are boy's
3. Is Rin who you just met, and his brother Yukio the teacher. And my brother Ryo, then us.
4. Rin is a demon like me." She stood there wide-eyed.
"Ok, I think I'm prepared. Let's do this."
"That's my girl." I opened the door. "Guys we have another one joining." I screamed. They all came running down, and stared at Caileigh.
"Hi." She said with a smile.
"Come, I'll show you to my room. I mean our room." I said with a grin. We ran up the stairs like little girls who were about to start the best sleepover ever.
"This is going to be one long school year isn't it." I heard Rin say to the guys, and they all chuckled.
