Cookie crumbs on the bed.
Lolly wrappers on the desk.
A few Skittles and its red wrappers under the bed.
A black 4 inch heel hanging on the lamp.
And of course, to complete the mess in the room, a passed out girl sprawled on the bed with cookie crumbs along her mouth.
Trey eyed the mess in his usually neat bedroom in disbelief. How could a girl make such a mess? Isn't that gender supposed to be the neater one than the male gender? Apparently not for Lae Fields. He sighed and looked for a clean spot on his bed to sit on. When he finally found one, Trey stroked Lae's hair back gently.
"Lae... C'mon. You gotta wake up..." He murmured softly. In reply, Lae simply pulled him down and hugged him tightly against her side. Trey chuckled.
"No, I can't join you or else noone would be waking either of us up. And you very well know, missy, that we've got school today. You can't graduate on skipping schools."
"I lav you cookie monster..." Lae mumbled sleepily against Trey's chest.
"And I'm sure cookie monster loves you too. But he wants you to go to school now, so hurry up and get up!" Trey shook her slightly. Lae kicked his shin, upset that she was being shaken in her sleep.
"Yeoouuuchh!!!" Trey yelled in pain, grabbing his leg.
"Shhhh!!!" Lae shushed him, then stuffed a pillow into his mouth. Trey coughed then pulled the pillow out. He narrowed his eyes at Lae then furrowed his eyebrows as he thought of a way to get Lae out of bed without him getting hurt. An idea flashed through Trey's mind and he jumped off the bed quickly, running off to the kitchen.
"Please be here... Please be here..." He murmured as he rummaged through a cabinet hastily. When he found what he wanted, he grinned victoriously then ran back to his bedroom, checking the time.
"Okay. Half an hour more to school. Gotta be quick." He mumbled while unwrapping an Oreo wrapper. Quickly, he left a trail of Oreos on his room floor from the bed to the bathroom. When he returned after completing the trail, he found Lae already on all fours, munching on the Oreos he had left on the floor. He smirked, shaking his head.
He hid behind a wall quietly, watching her greedily munch on the Oreos, oblivious to the obvious trail leading to the bathroom. As she neared the bathroom, Trey grinned and slowly tiptoed towards her cautiously. Picking up the last Oreo laying by the bathroom's entrance happily, Lae popped it into her mouth as Trey grabbed her by her shoulders.
"Heeeyyy!!" Lae screamed with her mouthful of Oreos. Trey chuckled and pushed her into the bathroom quickly then slamming the door shut.
"And don't come out til you're done washing up for school!" Trey yelled, laughing.
"And what if I don't?" Lae demanded rebelliously.
"Well, you won't get those Oreos at the dining table for breakfast." Trey grinned knowingly. In response, he heard the sound of water running.
"Job well done, T." Trey muttered to himself, beaming. Hurrying off to the kitchen to set up Lae's sickeningly sweet Oreo breakfast, he mumbled to himself.
"The next time that girl argues with her mother, I'll pretend my parents are back so she doesn't bunk over again. And of course, by bunk over, it means stay for as long as she likes in Lae Field's vocabulary. Of course, when she comes, we musn't forget her precious treats. Oreos, lollipops, ice cream, candy, Skittles... and all that sugary sweet stuff I can't understand. Why hasn't that girl got a toothache yet?? Lae Fields, one of a kind. Spunky, beautiful and acts like a five year old when it comes to candy. Women-"
"Ahem."
Trey spun around to see Lae with her hands on her hips and eyebrows raised challengingly.
"Sorry, what were you saying? Something about me I hear?"
"Err. Yeah. About ummm... How awesome it is that you love these sweet treats." Trey stuttered.
"Oh really? You think its awesome?" Lae asked, brightly, clapping her hands in glee.Trey sighed in relief and nodded, forcing an enthusiastic smile on his face.
"Great, so we'll share breakfast then. Since you love my cravings." Lae grinned, handing him the plate full of Oreos. Trey took the plate, staring at the cookies, trying to suppress a shudder. The sugary sweet treats did not please him like how it did to Lae, only disgusted him. Lae stole a glance at the grimacing Trey from the corner of her eyes, giggling as she pulled out marshmallows, Skittles and 2 lollies from his kitchen cabinet.
"Here ya go. Breakfast is served!" Lae exclaimed, hopping from one foot to the other in joy. Trey stared at the plate full of sweet treats that she had placed before her. Picking up a marshmallow, he resisted the urge to puke.
"Dig in!" Lae chirped happily, stuffing a handful of Skittles into her mouth. Before she even finished chewing on them, she took a mouthful of Oreos.
"Nom, nom, nom!" Lae giggled with her mouthful. Trey simply stared at her, disgusted. Slowly, he popped the marshmallow into his mouth. As he bit the marshmallow, he was unpleasantly surprised that sweet syrup filled his mouth from inside the marshmallow. Immediately, he spat it out.
"Eugh!! There's syrup in that marshmallow!" He spat, disgusted.
"T! Be nice to the marshmallow! Its hurt you don't like its syrupy goodness!" Lae scolded. "Apologize, T!"
"What?! No, I will not apologize to a marshmallow! That doesn't even-"
"APOLOGIZE!"
"Okay! Okay!" Trey stared at the marshmallow he spat out, drenched with his saliva sheepishly. "Uh.. okay.. umm.. H-hello.. marshmallow.. I'm uhh.. sorry. For uh.. spitting you out. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I think that umm. I think your syrup is really yummy." Trey rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, feeling stupid. He looked back to Lae, who was smiling happily.
"He forgives you." She whispered, as if interrupting an intimate moment. Trey rolled his eyes.
"Gee, I'm soooo relieved." He mumbled sarcastically. Getting up, he muttered, "C'mon, love. Time for school."
"Awwwwwww!" Lae whined, kicking her legs a little. "Cookie Monster, please don't make me!"
Trey raised and eyebrow at her questioningly. "Cookie Monster? Do I look like a blue, hairy retarded monster to you?"
Lae giggled. "I thought you were just now when you woke me up. Thats why I called you Cookie Monster!" She laughed. Trey shook his head, wishing he had some beer right now.
"I should gag you." He told Lae, sighing.
"I love you too, Cookie Monster." Lae sang as she got into Trey's car.
Trey started the ignition then drove as Lae fiddled with his radio. Trey glanced at Lae worriedly.
"Uh, Lae. I hope you're not gonna play what I think you are..." Lae simply ignored him, inserting a CD into his radio.
Trey let out a groan and gripped onto the steering wheel tightly as a Barney song filled the car, along with Lae singing to it.
"Pleaseee, Lae.. Pleassee..." Trey begged weakly.
"Oh, Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun..." Lae chirped, bobbing her head.
"Please shut up..." Trey begged again.
"I love you too, Cookie Monster!" Lae squealed, pumping her fists into the air.
"If you love, me, you would be my girlfriend, babe." Trey replied, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.Lae stopped singing and looked at Trey.
"Cookie Monsters don't date. And I'll only date you if you taste sweet and I can eat you. Facebookcurrent relationship status? In a relationship with Oreos. " Lae shot back proudly. Trey rolled his eyes and sighed, defeated.
