Ryan's POV
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
The annoying electric alarm clock beside my bed goes off, waking me from my slumber. I reach over and turn it off before sitting up, eyes still closed. I quickly rub the sleep from my eyes and get out of bed before going into the bathroom. I splash my face with cold water which sends shivers down my spine."Good morning Ryan!" My mom shouts from the hallway.
"I wish" I mumble in response. I pat my face dry with a towel and walk to the kitchen. My house isn't two stories which I'm thankful for. Not getting any sleep and being expected to walk down steps is just too much for me.
"Hey twerp! Glad to see you finally joined the world" My older brother Derek said rubbing my head sending my dishwater blonde hair everywhere. I rolled my eyes grabbing a bowl and making myself some cereal. I quickly ate before going back to the bathroom to take a shower

I get out of the shower and wrap a towel around my hair and a towel around my body before quickly making myself back into my room.
"What to wear? What. To. Wear?" I say to myself looking through my closet. I decide on my Vans Off The Wall t-shirt and a pair of ripped black jeans. Quickly putting on undergarments and the clothes I chose, I grab my hair bag making my way back into the bathroom across the hall before my brother.
"Come ON RYAN!" He shouted throwing his hands in the air. I chuckle before shutting the door and plugging in my hair dryer.
"Ryan please! I gotta piss!!" He said banging on the door.
"Derek you're a dude! Go outside!" I responded quickly blow drying my hair that is naturally curly. Quickly applying some light eye shadow and a layer of mascara I make my way out of the bathroom and back into my lovely room. I put on some rings and readjust the bracelets that are already on my wrist. I grab my black backpack and throw a jacket in there and put my ukulele in as well. I don't have a case yet but that's ok I guess. I pull the two zippers to the top leaving the top of my ukulele sticking out.
"Ready to go Ry?" Derek asks popping his head in my door.
"Yea I'll meet you at the door." I say while putting on my shoes. I grab my longboard and sunglasses on my way out. Derek grabs his longboard and we make our way out of the house.

Rolling down the streets of our small town in Ohio is quite nice. The trees are green, the birds are singing, and butterflies are flying. The wind blows causing my hair to move around my face. I feel hands on my shoulders which pulls me from my trance that nature has put on me. I look up and see Derek has stopped me from moving, meaning we made it to our little street corner. I offer him a small smile, which he gladly returns. My brother and I are pretty close, he knows things about me that no one else knows. I stepped off my board and sat on it pulling out my ukulele. I strummed a few chords while Derek and I waited for our dad to show up with extra equipment. Once he did we quickly set up the mics and amps/speakers.
"One. Two. One, two, three, four" Derek counted off.
"Na na na na, oh oh" I started singing the beginning of The Judge by Twenty Øne Piløts. We had put down a little box hoping people would give us spare change that they possibly had in their pockets.
"I'm thinking, "Wow, I probably shoulda stayed inside my house."" As I sang this line I looked over at Derek, I might be singing on a street corner, but I am extremely shy. I was diagnosed with social anxiety a couple years ago but I am slowly getting over it with the help of Derek, he's really been helping me become more confident.
"You're the judge, oh no, set me free" I finished the song and said a quick thank you to those that clapped before starting the next song.
