From that day onward, I realized we were going to destroy each other. The entire time in class I felt his gaze upon me. As soon as the bell rang I rushed out of the classroom, Gerard following close behind. I looked over my shoulder and saw Gerard put a cigarette between his teeth. "You got a light?" he calls ahead to me. I slowed down and I pulled out my lighter. He lowered his head to my hands, lighting it the fire flares out and smoke begins to fill the air on the streets outside the school. We begin to walk in silence, until Gerard spoke again, "Wanna go to mall? I've got an idea."

"Depends on what you're idea is?" Looking over at him with a raised eyebrow.

He chuckles, "Well it's a secret, but I will pay for it."

"If it's free I'm in, but what about Mikey?"

"Ray and him are going to my house we can meet up with them after we finish at the mall."

We walked over to the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive. I take in the surroundings around us. I never noticed how some days can be quite beautiful. I start looking at the scenery; the beautiful flowers blooming in the dividers of the street, the blue clear sky with birds flying in a V-shape formation, and the breathtaking man I'm sitting next to. I've never noticed another guy's features before Gerard's. His fair skin practically shines in the sunlight, the sun's rays bounce off his skin making it glisten. You lose yourself in his deep cocoa brown eyes. His greasy black hair falls perfectly over his eyes and slightly upon his shoulders. Absolutely breathtaking.

I shake off these thoughts as the bus rolls up to the curb with its brakes screeching and rubber tires giving off an unpleasant odor. Gerard leads me into the mall and we pass through several stores until we stop upon one with a neon sign reading "Never Flatter Tattoo and Piercing".

"So what exactly are we doing here, Gerard?"

Gerard looked at me with a devilish grin. "Well remember when school first started and Mr. Hand told us to go around and say something we wanted to achieve by the end of the year?"

I thought about this, Mr. Hand was our art teacher and he was the type of teacher that wanted you to push yourself and make goals that you could achieve. I nodded my head with a confused look still wondering what Gerard could be up to.

"Well I said I wanted to be published for drawing comics, and you said you wanted a lip ring."

I barely remember the first day of school, it was practically almost summer I don't know how Gerard would remember something that was so unimportant. "Yeah I remember that..wait are you go-"

"Going to buy you a lip piercing? Yup! I think it would be one hell of a look on you." he grinned at me wanting for a response.

"Gerard, I don't even know you, I don't want you buying me stuff."

"Fine. The names Gerard Arthur Way. I was born on April 9th 1977. I have a little brother named Michael Way but everybody usually calls him Mikey. My dad is out of the picture and I live with Mikey and my mom, Donna. I like to draw comics and listen to music. Your turn." He crossed his arms.

"Umm okay. I was born on Halloween in 1981. I don't have any siblings. My mom and dad got divorced when I was young, so I live with my mom now. I too also enjoy music, actually I'm in a band called Pencey Prep."

"See now we know each other." Gerard smiled at me and said he'd be right back. He went over to the other side of the store to grab an employee to do my lip piercing.

After picking out the kind of piercing I wanted, which was a black lip ring, and getting it actually pierced I suggested we should go get some ice cream. This time I was determined to pay for us.

"Hello welcome to Dairy Queen, what will you guys be having today?"

I spoke up first, "I'll have a mint chip ice cream in a cone." I looked at Gerard.

"Vanilla please."

"And he will have a vanilla ice cream in a cone"

"Okay that will be $7.25"

I pulled out a ten and handed it to her before Gerard could reach to his wallet. Gerard smirked at me and chuckled under his breath. I got my change back and Gerard grab the ice cream. We went to a small table in the middle of the food court and sat down.

"Thanks for the ice cream, Frank."

"Thanks for the lip piercing, Gerard."

We both sat in silence not knowing what to speak about. It wasn't an awkward silence though, it was a relaxing kind of silence.

Finally, when we got done with our ice cream Gerard turned to me and grab my hand. He looked me in the eye and slowing leant into me. He went to my lips barely touching, I could smell his warm breath, it had a scent of sweet vanilla and a hint of cigarettes lingering in the back. He went to my ear and whispered, "I want to show you something." I instantly I got goosebumps along the back of my neck. I nodded and let him lead the way outside of the mall.
