Julian's pov.
I ran to find my mom since Sarah woke up and I heard gunshots ring throughout the halls. A buzzer was going off indicating lockdown. No one was getting in our out and we were locked in here with a gunman. More shots were fired and they sounded closer this time. I ran back to Sarah's took and found my mother being held hostage by the gunman, a gun pointing to her head. He didn't notice me yet.
"Give me the password for the safe or I will shoot up this while place."
"What safe?!" My mother screamed.
He dragged her out the door and I heard screaming. What am I supposed to do?Jessica's pov (Julian's mom)
He pulled me down the hall to the front desk and led me behind it to the offices. He pushed aside a computer and it feel to the floor revealing a safe. I didn't know who's office it is.
"What's the damn code to open it?!" He growled.
"I don't know."
I heard footsteps running closer and I saw Julian run in.
"Jules get out of here.." I cried out.
"No! Let my mom go!"
He threw me to the ground and into the wall.
"So..you're her son.. well now you can watch her die," he said aiming the gun at me and pulling the trigger.
"No!!!!!!!" Julian screamed.
That was the last thing I heard. The last thing I saw was the terrified look on his face. I'm sorry son I failed you...
Julian's pov
I watched as he pulled the trigger.. I could have stopped him..I could have saved my mom, but all I did was stand there and watch. I'm such an idiot. Once the police got here there were many more dead and hurt. I'm just glad they stopped him when they did. He was heading to Sarah's area next.
"Excuse my are you Jessica's son?" A doctor asked.
"Yes."
"Do you have any other family members that can take you in?"
"No..."
"There isn't anyone?"
"Let me make a phone call to see."
Maybe Sarah's parents will take me in. I don't want to leave her. She's my best friend.
