Beginning of Sophomore year
Sarah's pov
I walked into the school not knowing who I was looking for. All I knew was that she was the color guard instructor and she told me to the practice today. She said she might make an exception for me since I just moved here bout long ago and she would see how well I spin and pick up what they did. I was a fast learner and was past of the guard in no time. I felt like there was a little hatred from sine people because I came in late to the season and ended up in ask the movements. I still didn't know many people but there's one who sticks out in my mind. His name is Julian, he plays trumpet and he's a sophomore. I feel like we'll be good friends.Present day
I was right. We ended up great friends. We were really close and it didn't fade even in our senior year. Even though all the drama as people came and left in our lives we always stuck together. I am glad to have met him after moving here. Honestly he has kept me from doing stupid things these three years. He is always there for me when I need him. And I'm there when he needs me. I hope he's alright because he tends to hide things a lot more lately since his mom died. I hate that she died but I'm glad he wasn't hurt more than he was. He is my best friend and I love him. I can't lose him.
..........
I woke up with his arms holding me to him. I put my head on his chest and smiled. He pulled me closer and I looked up to him. He looked like he was having a bad dream.
"Jules?" I said shaking him gently. His facial expression went from scared to terrified and worried.
"Sarah.. I'm so sorry.. "
What was he dreaming about?
"I don't know what I'm going to do without you.."
Was he dreaming about the crash?
I shook him awake and he hugged me tighter than ever. He started crying and holding me. I didn't ask what he dreamed about but I know it was something that causes him anxiety and panic.
"Shhh hey. Jules look at me. It was just a dream. I'm right here, in your arms" I say hugging him tightly.
I love you Sarah," he says in my ear.
"I love you too Jules."
