Roy the Misunderstood Abducter

One theory that I've been thinking about suggests that Roy is only trying to protect his son (Yellow Guy) but does not know how to do so in a safe way.

This theory has it that Roy's wife, which was also Yellow Guy's mother, died in a very disturbing way (a few weeks after Yellow Guy was born)in front of Roy, maybe she was murdered? And this caused Roy to have  Anthropophobia, or the fear of people (he was afraid of people since he saw a person murder his wife). He then kept his son in his basement since he didn't want him around people. His son was not socially intelligent since his father wan't around him much (causing him to sound stupid and say kinda stupid things) and he wasn't around people. Roy realized he eventually had to be around a few people so he could develop the appropriate socializing skills. Roy then kidnapped the first two people he saw so that his son could have someone to be around. (I'm guessing they were kidnapped on June 19th, explaining the missing sign and Roy is purposely not changing the calendar so Red Guy and Duck Guy don't know how long they've been missing??)

These two people just happened to be Red Guy and Duck Guy. Since Roy wanted to teach his son so that he could eventually go out into the world and interact with normal people, he made the kick starter video to raise money so that he could make the machine showed in DHMIS 6 to teach his son and his friends about being in society. Once he raised enough money, he created the machine.

He kept and trained the teachers until Yellow Guy was ready and old enough to learn. The teachers were around Roy so much that they became disturbed also. The first teacher, the notebook, was told by Roy that green is not a creative color and taught that to the students (Yellow Guy, Duck Guy, and Red Guy). Since he barely had begun teaching the students how to be creative, he was shocked when Yellow Guy went as far as to paint a picture of a clown. So he told him to "slow down". Then, there was a glitch in the machine, which scared the notebook and he thought it was because he was teaching them to be creative and Roy didn't like the way he was teaching. He was so scared he told them never to be creative again.

In DHMIS 2, the clock was trying to teach them about time and they kept asking questions that seemed as though they were doubting the fact that time existed, making him retaliate and punish them by making them age (he retaliated this way because he was disturbed... thanks to Roy -_-).

In DHMIS 3, the teacher (the love bug) was teaching him both about love and religion, he taught it the way the media teaches it now. With the washing of the brain, the wearing of a ring, etc. This teacher wasn't as disturbed but still, some of the things he said were kinda... off.

In DHMIS 4, the teacher was a computer. The computer just kinda busted into song, without much hesitation or waiting for an opening. Maybe his "lesson plans" weren't ready? Red Guy eventually realized what was going on and tried to leave, his mind was blown once he realized he was in a machine and everything he knew and grew up with was a lie.

In DHMIS 5, the teachers were a can and a piece of meat. They taught them about how to eat healthy. The ringing telephone is Red Guy trying to contact his two friends so that they would become more aware and break free of their surroundings. Duck Guy answered the telephone a few times and before he was COMPLETELY aware. The teachers freaked out and killed him (accidentally) to keep him from escaping.

In the final episode of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Yellow Guy is just scared and missing his friends so he wants to get a good night sleep. That is why he tries to push the teacher away but, the teacher is obeying Roy's orders and trying to get Yellow Guy to learn. When Red Guy is in the office, it's him remembering one of the teachers Roy sent to teach them about documents or something. Ya see, when Red Guy moved on, his mind forced him to block out his disturbing past and forget about it. But for some reason, he could vaguely remember a dancing file. Then when he goes to the club, he remembers a song from his childhood. You know how when you get a random song stuck in your head that you haven't heard in years? It's kinda like that. So, he decided to go up on the stage and perform it to see if anyone else knew this song. Obviously no one did so they started booing him. Then, he saw Roy in the audience (Roy follows him around sometimes to make sure he's okay since he still cares for him a bit). Roy got over his fear of people but he still didn't want to let his son go into the real world. But he realizes he eventually has to let him go and he thinks it's time. He leads Red Guy into the machine room so that he could unplug it himself, since Roy couldn't bring himself to do it. When Red Guy sees Yellow Guy, he starts freaking out and pressing random buttons to try to get him to realize his situation. Then he sees the plug and unplugs it.

Roy then realizes he has lost everything he ever loved so he made a new version of his son and his friends and allowed them to be their favorite colors. Including green.

That's a theory I've been thinking about and working on. It felt really good to organize those thoughts and put them down on paper... well, put them down on the screen. Hope you liked it. Remember to comment, like, and share. As always, if you have nay arguments or questions against/about this theory, comment and I may feature your comment in a chapter. Chao for now!
