True enough pag baba namin inaantay na kami ni Daniel at Pat sa lobby. Lumabas kami and we went to the far side of the beach. Madilim na, gabi na eh. Natural.

There were boulders and maaninag mo yung shadow ng apoy. So nandun sila. How cool. How did they find this place?

There were mats placed on the sand na nakapaikot sa may apoy na nasa gitna.

"Wow." I mumbled.

Nginitian lang ako ni Alex. With his hand on my elbow, he guided me to a seat between him and Michelle.

Iisa-isahin ko na lahat ng nandun at ang relationships nila. Basta lahat sila magkakabarkada. Most of them sa Benilde din nag-aaral. Yung iba, childhood friends or neighbors. Ganun.

Si Pat, sexy at morena, girlfriend ni Daniel.

Si Cristine or Tintin, maganda din. Pero sya yung petite beauty. Yung hair nya maiksi din, lahat ng features sa muka nya very soft and yun nga, petite. Girlfriend naman sya ni Inno.

Tapos si Michelle, ang hopeless romantic chinita ng grupo, single.

And then there's also Chloe. From what I've heard, matalinong babae. Pero single din kagaya ni Chelle. Half Australian, half Filipino pala sya. Just like Syd.

Tapos may iba pa daw silang friends eh. Pero kami kami lang yung nandun ngayon sa Batangas.

"Beer?" Offer sakin ni Inno.

Ngumiti ako. Iniisip ko pa kung anong isasagot ko. I told Alex na hindi ako umiinom, kasi hindi naman talaga. Si Sydney, yun. Di ko na alam kung gano kalaki bahay alak nun.

Pero bago pa ko makasagot, kinuha na ni Alex yung bottle tapos sya yung uminom. I guess Inno got the message kasi hindi nya na ko inalok ulit after.

Lahat sila dun umiinom. Ako lang yung parang bata na puro kain lang ng barbeque at marshmallows.

"Alex, yung consequence mo ha." Bulong ko.

"Yeah. I know."

Inubos nya yung laman ng 3rd bottle nya then hiniram nya kay Daniel yung gitara.

"Don't tell me you're going to sing?" Chloe asked with disbelief.

"Yeah. Parang once in a blue moon ka lang kumanta at tumugtog ah!" Sabi naman ni Michelle.

"Well, this one's for Aubrey." Alex simply said and winked at me.

And dear god, my heart did the usual fluttering. I felt some tingling sensation creep over my cheeks.

Alex strummed the first chords of the song tapos eto namang si Michelle, feeling girlfriend, sya pa yung super kilig for me.

Don't get me wrong, syempre kinikilig din naman ako.

As he was singing, he constantly glances at me and I would just smile at him. Okay, so maybe this is Alex's sweet side.

"You will always be beautiful in my eyes and the passing years will show that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes."

Nang matapos yung kanta, inasar kami ng mga barkada nya.
