Sam's pov
Yesterday Kassidy brought a friend home and damn she's hot! Her messy blonde hair and crystal blue eyes looked familiar. But it wasn't coming to me, I couldn't think of where I've seen her.
But today I went to my family's house for a visit. I haven't seen them in what seems like forever, and it's also my little brother Levi's birthday. He's having a Barney birthday, his favourite show.
I jumped into my car and drove to the house. Once I got there, I knocked on the door and the door magically opened. I had to look down where Levi stood with a huge smile on his face.
"SAAAAAM!" He said and wrapped his small arms around my knees.
"Hey little buddy!" I said picking him up in my arms and walking in.
"Hey Sam!" My mom said giving me a side hug and walking back to finish preparing. Levi's party was in a couple of hours so I thought I'd help out. I walked over by my mom who was setting up the table.
"Here, let me do that." I said taking the paper plates, plastic forks, cups and napkins from her and started setting them up.
"So how are you doing living with the guys?" She asked walking over to the fridge.
"Great! It's lots of fun. They are really great to hang out with." I said laying down the plates.
"Oh yeah? Awesome! How are you and Kassidy?" She asked pulling the cake out of the fridge. I paused and tried to think of how I was going to word this.
"We--um--we broke up." I said not doing anything. I was just standing there, it hurt to say that.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I know you really loved her." My mom said slowly closing the fridge.
"Can we just stop talking about it." I said putting the cups beside the plates.
"Sure." She said and silence filled the room.
"I'll be right back." I said walking up to the bathroom. Once I got in I locked the door and stared at myself in the mirror. Why did I do this to myself? Why do I keep messing things up? Can't I do something right for a change? I looked down to rinse my face with water when I saw a Victoria's Secret magazine on the counter that has been there forever. And it wasn't just any magazine, it had a familiar face on it. Then I realized where I had seen that face, it was Maci. Kassidy's hot friend! I knew she looked familiar! Kassidy had a friend that is a VS model? That's unexpected.
Kassidy's pov
I texted Maci asking if she wanted to hang out but she had to help out for some occasion with her family. She has divorced parents, and two twin little brothers that are both around Levi's age. They all live in California and I've seen them a few times around the city. She's lucky, she has her future mapped out for her, and I don't even know what I'm going to do tomorrow.
Luckily I know what I'm going to do now! I'm going to walk downstairs and grab a snack. I'm such a great planner.
Sam's pov
As everyone walked in, I took the presents and set them in our living room. Levi invited nine friends so the house was going to be full.
"Sam! There's someone else at te door, can you get it?" My mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Yup!" I replied and walked to the door.
"Hi Sam!" Little Mason said as I opened the door.
"Hey Mason, hey Merlin!" I said letting them in.
"Hey Sam." A girl said behind them.
"Oh, hey Maci. Are these two your brothers?" I asked rubbing the back of my neck.
