This was it, I thought to myself. Surrounded by z's, I stood on the edge of the bridge. It was either jump or become one of them. I was just about to jump when I heard each of them fall &' their horrid growls fade one by one. I turned around &' saw a boy about my age, standing with a sniper rifle, the z's all dead. "H-hi." The boy said. "Hi." I said, carefully moving away from the edge. "Thank you." I said with a sly smile. "I really thought this was the end for me."
He smiled at me shyly. "What's your name?" I asked. "10k." He responded. I smiles at him; "I'm Autumn."
"Nice to meet you, Autumn." He smiled. He was obviously super shy, but I wasn't sure why. "Do you have a group?" He asked. I shook my head no; "I haven't been apart of a group since..since I lost my family." I said. He nodded with sincerity. "Would you like to come back with me? I have a group north from here. I was searching for food when I found you." He smiled, still talking very shy, and slow. I smiled &' accepted his request. We walked back to his group &' chatted throughout. He was an extremely shy boy, but he would eventually come out of his shell. ☺️
