"I really think something is going on with Lexi and Murphy." Doc whispered to Addy. Doc really can't whisper, considering that I heard him but I'm glad Murphy didn't, I didn't want him thinking that I had feelings for him or anything, although secretly, I do. We continued to talk and laugh, Murphy was my best friend, we did this everyday. I could feel Addy's eyes observing us but I didn't bother to look over, most likely it would lead to teasing and my cover would be completely blown. I have been crazy over Murphy for two years, since it became our mission to take him to the CDC. I had always hoped that we would reach our destination but not have to give him up. I know Murphy's vaccine may be able to save the human race, but my attachment to him is so strong. But tomorrow is the day that we will officially deliver him to the CDC. After dinner, we decided that it was time to rest. 10k took the first shift of night duty, me the second, Doc the third, Addy the fourth, and Warren last, considering she was the one to wake us up the following morning. The day that I have dreaded for two years has finally approached. "Okay crew." Warren said. "We have to meet up with the CDC in two hours so let's get a move on." She said, patting Murphy on the shoulder. It must have been obvious that my face looked disappointed because Doc came over and hugged me. "It will be okay, kid." He whispered in my ear. I sat in the back with Murphy for the whole ride, enjoying my time with him. We were to meet the CDC at an old restaurant that actually still served during the apocalypse, although we arrived twenty minutes early. We stepped out of the truck and into the building where we were greeted by a lady. Everything was going fine until a group of men walked in and realized who Murphy was. "It's the Murphy." I heard one of them say. We all stood in front of Murphy, ready to fight and protect him. This escalated to a gun fight, where I was unfortunately shot in the leg. My group, including the older woman, ended up killing the men that came in. My group ran to me, including Murphy. I don't know if maybe I was delirious or what, but I swear that there was a sparkle in his eyes. "I can bite you if you like." He exclaimed. "Your pain will fade away." I shook my head no, holding my leg in pain. He didn't push, which I was thankful for. Thankfully the lady that ran the restaurant fixed my leg up and it wasn't that bad. Twenty minutes later, the CDC showed up. We all looked at Murphy, on the verge of tears. It was obvious that we were all upset, but we did whatever we could to hide it. I hugged a Murphy one last time before watching him walk away forever. A single tear escaped my eye, Doc obviously saw. I know that he felt bad but wouldn't say anything because it was our secret, although I hadn't told him.

2 months later:

Days without Murphy have been horrible. He blew up the CDC ship, he bit the doctor. Now, he has his own life. Murphyville. He has gone absolutely mad, and we are doing everything to find him. We found a bus that belonged to Murphy, so we took it, hoping it would lead to him, which it did.

"We need a plan to get into "Murphyville and stop Murphy." Warren stated. "I think we should have Lexi go in." Doc exclaimed. "Her and Murphy were close, if he will listen to anyone, it will be her." Warren nodded in agreement. "Are you up for it, Lexi?" I nodded my head, I was excited but I didn't show it. Maybe this would be the time where I could tell Murphy how I really feel, if he hasn't moved on. Two months without him is horrid, I don't know how I did it before meeting him. We finally came up with a plan to talk to him. I'm going to tell him that I want him to bite me, well I'm going to tell his guards that, but I'll tell him the truth, I'll tell him to stop, no matter how hard that may be.

I knocked on the doors, nervous as I have ever been. "Can I help you?" A dark skin man asked. "I'm looking for Murphy. I want to be bitten." I said, acting devastated. "You will have to wait with the others." He said, pointing me to a line of other survivors. "Tell him it's Lexi." I said. "He will understand." The man nodded before closing the door. I waited, and when it opened, there was Murphy. I smiled, "Hey." He smiled back, "Hey, come in. Follow me." I did as told and followed him upstairs. "I missed you, Lexi. I should have brought you with me." He said. I smiled, "Thanks for the offer Murphy, but I couldn't come with you even if I wanted. This isn't life." I sighed. "And the world you are living in out there is?" He asked. I shrugged, knowing that he was right. "I'm sorry." He said, rubbing my thumb. "I missed you so much. I smiled, "I missed you too Murphy." "I'll never leave you again." He said.

Hey Lexi, this was my first Murphy imagine so it was a little difficult but I'm not used to it but I really hope you enjoy it. The ending is a little bit of a cliffhanger, though. christopermanawa
