Blake:
I haven't hung out with Molly since Friday and I miss her.
"Molly hey," I texted her.
"Hi Blake," she answered.
"You busy today? I think we should go swimming today," I smiled hoping she would want to.
"Sure, I'm at the mall with Sarah but Coles there you can go over whenever you want," I could tell she had that beautiful smile on.
"Okay, see you later!"I turned off my phone and smiled.
I got dressed and packed a bag with my bathing suit.
"Good morning Blake," my mom said cooking eggs as I walked out into the kitchen.
"Hey mom, after breakfast can I ride my bike over to my friends house, I'll be back after dinner?" I begged.
"Sure thing, just make sure you clean your plate off," she gave me a plate of food and she sat across from me and looked at her phone. She randomly gasped scaring me a little.
"Mom you okay?" I said taking my last bite off my plate.
"These two girls ran away from home a month ago and her mom hasn't seen them since, that's so sad." She said as she kept scrolling down on her phone.
"Oh look they have a picture of them on here," she showed me the picture," have you seen them at school or anywhere?"
I noticed the two girls were Molly and Sarah, what do they mean they ran away? Their mom is working and their dad passed away, they were on vacation. Wait, what's happening.
"No I don't know them, Uh I'm heading to my friends house now, bye see you later." I kissed her cheek and ran out the door. I pulled out my phone and searched 'two missing girls ran away month ago' pictures of Sarah and Molly appeared and stories about her mom and dad. I got on my bike and rushed over to the cabin to find Cole.
Cole:
I was on Facebook waiting for Sarah and Molly to come home so we could go swimming. I heard something hit the floor so I raced to the window and saw Blake hop off his bike and stumbling to the door.
"Blake calm down, what's up?" I questioned wondering why he was so out of breath.
"Sarah...Molly...Missing...Mom," he tried making out the words between his breathing.
"Dude go sit down and tell me what happened," I said and threw him a bottle of water.
He almost chugged the whole thing. He took out his phone and unlocked it and opened safari and then searched something up. He handed me the phone and I sat down and read to myself. Sarah and Molly ran away? Why would Sarah lie to me? What did her mom ever do to them? That's why they always freaked out when something about their mom came up. I knew about their dad, it was all over the newspaper since their dad was kind of a big deal in the business company.
"Cole are you okay?" Blake said still catching his breath.
"I'm kind of speechless," I said putting my head in my hands.
My truck door shut and we both looked at the front door. They walked in with clothes bags in their hands and smiles on their face.
"Hey Blake, you're here!" Molly rushed over to Blake as she put the bags down.
Blake pushed her away and her smile faded as she took a step back. I looked back at Sarah who smiled at me, I ignored her. I could tell her smile faltered.
"Cole?" She said, I tried so hard not to be as mad, there had to be a explanation.
I looked to Blake then to his phone.
Molly:
I stepped back from Blake and glanced over at what Cole was holding. He was holding a phone opened on some kind of news page. The headline said 'two teen girls missing.' and there was a picture of me and Sarah. I glanced over at Sarah and she had a scared look on her face as she looked at the phone. I started thinking about everything that has happened since dad died. I couldn't stop myself from crying anymore so I ran into my room and started crying into my pillow. I could hear the door open and someone sat on the edge of my bed.
"Hey I'm gonna leave and give you some time. I'm not mad I just want to know what happened and why you guys ran away. Call me when your ready to tell me." I heard Blake's soft voice and I could tell that he was concerned.
He sat there for a minute before he got up and left. When he left it broke my heart. It could be years before I'm ready to tell anyone about what happened. I might never be able to tell someone about what happened. I started sobbing into my pillow. All the tears that I was holding in all these years came out. I finally looked up and saw Blake riding his bike away with tears rolling down his cheeks and I stuffed my head back in my pillow and started crying again.
Sarah:
I couldn't make out the words I wanted to say as I stared at Cole holding the phone. I knew out of Molly and me she would take this the worst. I couldn't see her like this I just couldn't, it was my fault we were here. Cole looked at me like I just broke his heart by telling him the Easter bunny wasn't real. He put his face in his hands and I tried to explain but it just never came out. Molly ran to her room in tears as Blake followed.
"Cole." I finally got to come out of my mouth.
He looked at me and shook his head and looked away.
"I'm sorry, I really-" I stopped as he got up and moved behind me to go out the door but before he left I could feel him breathing down my neck behind me.
"I really want to find a way to forgive you," he whispered in my ear and walked out the door.
I closed my eyes trying to fight the tears from flowing down my face. I had to be strong for Molly, I had to be the mom that she never had. I wiped my tears and walked towards Molly's room as Blake walked out tearing up . No more tears. No more.
