(Y/N)

Instead of using a portal to take the carriage to my place, Tom's making the dead horse pull it all the way. When I asked him about not using the portal, he looked really uncomfortable and said that the 'portals only work for other dimensions'.

I stare out of the window and get weird looks from people outside. I don't exactly blame them. After all, I'm in a flaming carriage with a three-eyed boy, a life coach, and a dead horse.

"So, Tom... what exactly are you?" I ask, propping my head up with my hand glancing at him.

"Demon Prince of the Underworld." He replies, grinning as if he expects me to bow down.

"Cool."

His grin falters slightly but doesn't disappear. "Um, yeah. It is kind of cool? But, um..." he nervously plays with his fingers.

I tap my fingers on the window, looking outside. "I don't remember this way to my house."

"We're taking the scenic route." He says quickly, his cheeks turning slightly red.

"Cool-" I stop and glare at something in a nearby alley. "I'll be right back." I hiss, standing up and opening the door. I jump up out of the moving carriage- which was fairly easy because it was moving so slow- march to the alley.

"Wait!" I hear Tom yell. I can no longer hear the dead horse moving and I glance behind to see that the carriage has stopped moving.

"I'll be right back." I promise, running into an alley and behind the garbage bins. I open a dumpster to see Star and Marco looking at me guiltily.

"Aha!" I stomp my foot angrily. "You guys don't trust me after all!"

"We do, (y/n)!" Star says sadly.

"Yeah! You're like a sister to me, I don't want to see you get hurt." Marco whimpers.

I glare at them and fold my arms. "I can't believe you guys don't trust me." I remember something I read from a book and glare at them. "It takes trust to make a friendship work, you guys." I whisper, folding my arms and staring at the ground.

"(Y/n)-"

"There you are!" I turn around to see Tom and his smile turns into a frown when he sees my expression. He glances behind me and his frown deepens at the sight of Star and Marco. "What are they doing in a dumpster?"

"Nothing important," I mumble.

"(Y/n)!" Marco shouts. I turn away from them and stare at the ground, my arms folded.

Tom wraps a comforting arm around me and we walk away, leaving Star and Marco in the dumpster, where they belong.
