The shooting

"Uhhh~~, Amber wake up, we have class today, we'll be late if you don't wake up!," I heard Krystal say as she poked my face. Krystal and I have gotten closer but only as close as a good friend, I wish I was closer to her but maybe this kind of distance will take away the feelings I feel for her. "Alright, I'm awake, did you take a shower yet and dress up?," I asked croakily, my voice was dry of course, and I remembered that today was the day where a guys coming in to confess to her, sigh thinking of that just hurts my heart a lot more than it should. She nodded to my question and I stood up grabbed my clothes and went to take a shower and take care of business.

"Hey Amber what do you want for breakfast? I'll make it if it's easy!," Krystal shouted into the bathroom. I opened it because I was not longer naked and said," I want the egg burritos you always make because its delicious," I was grinning really bad and she just laughed and pinched my cheeks and said," ok! My little llama of course I'll make it." I walked out of the bathroom ruffling my hair, I set my towel down and skipped to my princess, she was making the burritos smiling. I sneaked up to her and gave her a back hug and let go after moments.

"Amber! Put me down," She whined and I set her down not wanting to make her uncomfortable."Hey, are you done yet? I hungry," I pouted pointing to my stomach and she leaned towards me and whisper," Dork, I'm done....now, stupid," she laughed and rubbed my hair and I grabbed her hand trying to get her to stop, but we just stared into her eyes and she did so to me, I lowered my gaze onto her lips. They looked so pretty, those lips of hers make me want to kiss her. She leaned in closing our gap between our lips, I could feel her breathe and her gaze at my lips, when our lips were gonna touch, her phone buzzed and made us snapped out of whatever we were in.

"Amber...we need to go soon, like in ten minutes ok?," she said looking at me but I stared at the floor,"here, I'll tie your tie," she held her hand out for my tie. "Haha, you know me so well," I chuckled and handed her my tie and she smiled after she finished tying my tie, I started to eat my burrito. "Umm~ This is so good!," I said liking my fingers that was covered in cheese, "Haha, Am, stop eating it so fast, you're gonna choke," Krys said wiping the corner of my mouth and...licking..it. I never knew that she could be this bold.

I lowered my head down so she wouldn't see me and I grabbed her hand and grabbed our things saying," W..we..need to go now...or we'll be late. And for the rest of the day I was thinking of why she did that, maybe she likes me? Maybe she is just fooling around, but I love her..why...if only I was a guy. ...DAMN there is that one dude going to confess to her today at lunch isn't he? What was his name again? I think it was...

RING* RING*

"Dang," I stood up and gathered my stuff and jogged down to the lunch room, I walked into the room where Sulli was biting her nails and Luna pacing around. "What's up? Why do you guys look so worried?" I asked patting the two of them on their shoulders. "Well...its because the person who is confessing to Kyrstal...is Kai..he's really...weird in a very bad way," Luna explained. "Yeah," Sulli agreed, "They're outside under that big tree," she pointed to a window and the tree was right there.

"Well if you're that worried, we can eavesdrop, did you guys not think of that?"I questioned getting up from the chair I just sat in, my heart was aching, I didn't want my princess to get hurt, I don't want to give her to anyone either, I love her. Luna nodded and said teasingly," Seems like someone is jealous!" I just nodded because my face was getting red, I rushed over the the window and opened it, I heard the two girls giggling a bit.

I thought that the window was like a door way of saying, please climb out and slide down, we were only on the second floor. I learned parkour before so jumping down from places is normal for me...but the weird thing is that I'm scared of heights. I carefully opened it and stepped out, the breeze coming through and ruffling my hair warned that fall is coming soon. I looked down and started to listen closely to the conversation.

"Krystal, I love you please go out with me!," the guy said. Krystal just stared and tilted her head starting to open her mouth to reject, then Kai brought a cloth out in his hands with something," you will...w..will..n..n..not..reject me!" He pulled out a dagger and used it to threaten Krystal. She was in shock... So was I... I started to climb down without making any noise, the guy was continuing to threaten Krystal, and Krystal was looking scared, her mouth opening trying to scream but she's just close it.

I was now only seven feet above the ground, I hopped off in a rush to save the Krystal who was scared, I knocked the guy down but he still had his dagger, I grabbed Krystal's arm and whispered," it's alright, it's going to be ok, calm down, when I step forward, you're going to run towards the people, and tell the teachers, just some...just in case."

Kai started to act more hysterically, "WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING HER!!! SHES MINE!! NOT YOURS!!!" He looked at Krystal and asked," IS HE THE REASON YOU'RE REJECTING ME?!!!"

He started to move closer to me and said with a shaky voice," ....I...i never wanted to use this but you left me no choice," he pulled out a gun and triggered it, he started to point it at me and Krystal. I screamed," NOW!!" Krystal started to run. I sprinted forwards and

BANG*

I got shot somewhere, it hurt but I needed my princess to be safe so, I started to wrestle him down and trying to take the gun. "St..stop!! If..you..weren't here...it would have been successful!" He rolled over me and started to punch me with his hand that dropped the dagger. I pushed him back and threw away the gun, I pinned him down and started to punch him.

One to the left side of his face, right, nose, everywhere, he pushed me down again pulling me up punched me in the stomach, it honestly hurt like a sun of a bi*t€h. He kept trying to jab my face but I pulled his arm coming towards me, flipped him over and punch him almost everywhere within my reach.

The teacher came and pulled me away with reinforcements coming in and arrested the boy, I relaxed my body. My shirt felt really warm, I tried to ignore it, there were tons of people screaming and pointing. It annoyed me but when I saw my princess, I gave a small smile. She looked really worried as she kneeled down next to my limpish body.

I brought my hand up and carefully caressed her face and coughed up,"it's alright, I'm gonna be fine," and she nodded. Next thing I knew was that the Ambulance came, I didn't know for who but around that time I lost conscious.

Krystal's POV

"H..h..hi, I'm Kai, I'm the one who put the note in your locker. I love you please go out with me," he bowed. I just stared at him, trying to think of a rejection so I can go to Sulli and them for lunch.

Then he suddenly pulled out a weapon and held it against me, I couldn't hear what he was saying because I was really scared. Someone jumped out of the tree and tackled him, he fell but he still had his...weapon. The person backed up toward me and grabbed my hand and whispered,"it's alright, it's going to be ok, calm down, when I step forward, you're going to run towards the people, and tell the teachers, just some...just in case," when I heard her voice I knew it was...Amber.

I heard the boy scream something and he glanced at me, I got more scared and hide behind Amber's back. That was when she screamed,"NOW" I didn't know what was happening but I took off sprinting like my life was on the line(literally).

Next thing I heard was a gun firing...no..no..this can't be happening no please let her be safe, please, please.      I ran towards a bunch of teachers and pulled them towards where Amber is, I told them what happened in broken sentences and they decided to call the ambulance and police.

When I reach the place the police were already here and cuffed the boy, Amber looked lifeless, I was scared I didn't want her to die, never, since I....I kneeled next to her and caressed her hands, but she didn't notice.

She surprised me when she raised her hands and placed it on my face and coughed up,"it's alright, I'm gonna be fine," I just nodded, and she looked up and lost consciousness. Her body went more limp and the Ambulance came in and hauled her to the hospital, at the time I was confused, scared that a person I loved might die because of me, and worried.
