I groan lightly as I wake up. Memories from last night flooded in my empty mind. Nick stayed the night. I suddenly get up from my sleeping position and eye over the room.

He's not here. Maybe he went back to his apartment. I mentally groan again knowing that I can't go back to sleep now that I've woken up. I stretch my hand over the short bedside table and grab the giant phone in my tiny hand. Apple needs to get a grip on their phone sizes. Or maybe I just have really tiny hands.

Messages:
Nick: I had a great time last night! I had to early leave for work, hope you understand.

The eye-catching message read on the dim screen. I arise from the patted spot of where I had laid in bed and decided to get ready now. Breakfast was just some milo and toast for me, the same thing I would have on a normal regular basis.

I figured since I had nothing to do, it would be best to meet up with a few of my friends. I call over Bella and her sister Gigi and they plan to stay the night.

Knowing their houses would be a fair drive from where I live, I come to the decision to check through a few of my emails from work.

The only engaging emails I received were a sale from a shop and one letting me know that I had a flight on Friday to Berlin for a fashion show.

My life.

I hear hard pounds on the think, wooden door for the entrance of my apartment, making me flinch for a second. I steadily run towards it, pulling it with force, facing the two girls I was waiting for.

I greet them and we start talking immediately. In the middle of a really good conversation about food, a knock on the door interrupts us.

I open it and there I see Nick.

"Hey Nick," I open the door wider, allowing him to come in.

"Hey. I hope I'm not interrupting anything," He looks over to Bella and Gigi.

"No, it's fine really, do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"I'm fine, thanks for the offer though"

"Well Nick, this is Bella and Gigi, my best friends and Bella and Gigi, this is Nick, My new neighbour" I awkwardly introduce them to each other.

An unwanted silence falls amongst us making it extremely awkward. I pick at my nails, wanting someone to say something. A few seconds into the silence, Gigi grabs her tea, sipping on it, slowly but loudly making a laugh erupt out of my mouth.

"Oh my gosh. Sorry! That wasn't meant to happen, it just was just really quiet and it kinda slipped out," I rush the words out of me, apologising to the laugh.

They all mumble a quick 'it's fine' and we return back to the quiet state.

"Do you guys wanna go out, for lunch or something?" I unsurely ask.

"Yeah! I just discovered this new restaurant that's got this cute 70s twist to it, we could go there," Bella suggests.

"Let's do it!" I shout and everyone gathers their things and we all pipe down the elevator to my matte white Range Rover.

We all pile in. I start up my car, making my engine roar. I plug in my phone, blasting 'M.I.L.F $'.

"Nick, you know this song?" I ask.

"Yup"

"Heard you in the mood for a little milkshake welcome to the Dairy Dutchess Love Factory I could whip it up, fix you up straight away come on in the front door, leaving at the back door whip it, flip it, hey" Bella sings her favourite part of the song.

We all shout out the rest of the song before we come to part where I sing,

"Cause I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T Do you know what that means? Can't see me B-R-O-K-E I'm P-A-I-D you heard about me, I'm saying" I dance whilst singing, causing Nick's eyes to widen.

"C'mon Nick sing!" I whine to him.

"Just wait for my part," He smirks. And so I wait, along with the other girls.

"You motherf*cker," he sings in a girly voice in the end. We all cheer to him, making him flip his pretend long hair.

I giggle out of nowhere, which caught me by surprise, because I never giggle.

"WE'RE HERE, MY LOVELY B*TCHES!" I shout, jumping out of the car and rushing to the door.

As I enter the adorable restaurant, I spot a waiter and head towards her.

"Hi! Welcome to Lazy Moes, are you eating in getting take away?" She grins towards us (A/N: I just chose a random name from I place I have been to, don't judge me 😂)

"Eating in, thanks," I reply, returning a smile.

"Follow me," She nods her head towards the booth and lead us towards it. My eyes go to look around, and as I lock eyes with the eyes I never expected to see again, I stop immediately in my tracks.
