Anastasia's P.O.V

It had been about 3 week since Nick and I got back from Berlin and I was currently getting ready to go to Shawn and Kaia's apartment, which may I add is not for from my apartment, for a Christmas dinner. I dresses myself in a winsome, wine coloured, off the shoulder dress that hugest my skin tightly and reached just above my knees. I paired it with some rose sandle heels.

Nick, Bella and Gigi will also be attending the dinner. I offered to make the cranberry sauce, using my mothers original recipe, for the dinner.

Between the first time everyone got together until now, everyone's friendships have tightened and grew stronger. We would all see each other much more often than the earlier stages of our friendship.

Slinging a coat over my shoulders, grabbing the cranberry sauce and my handbag, I made my way over to Shawn and Kaia's apartment. Once I arrived, I knocked on their door and they greeted me dearly.

"Your apartment is so beautiful!" I gush whilst examining their area.

"Thanks! Your dress has such a beautiful colour!" Kaia compliments my dress as she sets up the dinner table.

"Here, do you need some help with anything?" I offer.

"I'm fine, maybe you could help out with Shawn," She nods her head over to him as Shawn sends a smile in my direction. I nod my head briefly before walking my way to Shawn.

"So come on over this way," He leads me towards the stove, where a pot lied.

"I just need you to move these vegetables, which I'm steaming by the way, kind of like how I'm doing."

Shawn presses his chest, against my back and wraps his arm around me to show how to stir the vegetables around. My heart fell in my stomach and my breath hitched silently.

"Got it?" His hot, minty breath fanned my neck as he whispered.

"Mhm," I hummed in response as I knew I would stutter if I said a single word. Once Shawn moved back to his original position to continue his own cooking, I continued moving the vegetables around while having small conversations with the pair.

After a few brief moments, a small brisk knock was set upon the door. I turn to find Nick, whom I missed dearly. After Kaia greeted him I rush to his side where he turns his body to meet with mine. His hands make contact with my lower back as mine reach for his.

Due to my height, I look up to meet with his eyes.

"Hey," I whisper.

"Hey," Nick replies, I lift myself closer to his face where I lay a small peck on his lips. I pull away from him where we both blushed.

I watch Nick in awe as he says his greetings to Shawn, biting my lip, forgetting that anyone else was even there. I smile at the interactions between both Shawn and Nick, giggling silently at their friendship. It was then when I receive a notification from my phone.

"Guys, Bella and Gigi won't be able to make it tonight, they got a spontaneous visit from their siblings." I notify them.

"That's alright! Well we can just set up the food on the table now I guess," a Kaia explains, where I look over to the multiple plates of food. I go to put the turkey on the table when I feel someone else's hands on the dish.

"Oh, sorry!" I nervously chuckle and meet eyes with Shawn who had a dusty rose blush set amongst his cheeks.

"Let's take it over together," He smiles. With a nod of my head and small blush arising to my cheeks, we take it over together. Not breaking eye contact once, we set it down together.

And it was when I was least expecting it, when raunchy thoughts of Shawn flooded my mind. The way you could move your hips with his, giving a pleasant shiver all around your body, the way you could moan his name endlessly throughout the night, the way you could throw your head back, while tugging at his soft chestnut locks in delectation.

"I need to head to the bathroom quickly, could someone please show me the way?" I ask.

"Here, I'll show you the way," Shawn smiles. Great. I follow his lead, my eyes drawn to his muscular back.

"You might want to watch out-" He begins, but is replaced with my quiet yelp. Coming quick for my rescue, Shawn places his hand on my lower back to stop me from falling and getting any injuries.

"-for the step" He breathes out, a distraught expression set on his face.

"I- I-" I take a breath, "Thank you, for um.." I couldn't get the words to come out of my mouth. I face up, meeting his eyes. And before I knew it, I was leaning closer and closer to him till soon our lips met. My mind hazed and I happened to forget everything in the moment. I was only focusing on the way his lips moulded with mine.

It was when Shawn's hand moved from my cheek to my hip that I gently pushed Shawn's chest away from me. Tears grew in my eyes. How could I do that when I'm technically with someone?

"I don't why I did that, but you can't let anyone know that happened. Your about to get married and I'm technically in the relationship with someone," I mumble as he nods his head and with that he points to the door which is the toilet, informing me that, that's where it is. I rush to it, making sure to lock the door.

I felt like screaming, I felt like crying. I fought every urge in me to not scream or to kick the wall or do anything that would express my anger.

Not wanting any suspicion from Nick or Kaia, I get out of the toilet fairly quickly. Once I get back to the dinner table, I notice red wine being poured in round, glistening glass.

"Wine? I could use some," I state.

"Really? What's the reason for that," Nick chuckles.

"Rough day," I take hold of the glass, now filled with wine, making eye contact with Shawn's culpable brown orbs. I take a swing of the alcoholic drink as I tried to drown my thoughts with it.

Sorry for the late update! I am on holidays and I'm trying to spend as much time with my friends and family as possible whilst I have the time, but once school is back on track (which is just under a month) I will definitely be able to post chapters more often.
