Laurens' P.O.V:

-About 4 months later-

"Babe. Lex. Alex, wake up." I began whispering in my boyfriend's ear while playing with his hair until he threw the blanket over his head and burrowing into the pillow that was currently my chest, "John, for the love of God, please let me sleep." Well this won't do. "Alex, love, do you know what day it is?" He popped his sleepy head out from the blanket cocoon, sporting a case of bed head with a look of confusion, "My day off where you let me sleep in and hopefully stay in bed with me?" Alex questioned. "Not quite," I kissed his forehead, "It's our first Valentine's Day." His animated face went from morning dullness to pure joy and love as he looked up at me with his doe eyes and smiled as bright at the blinding sun, "Happy Valentine's Day, baby girl."

He threw his arms around my neck and pulled himself further up on my chest, swiftly enveloping me in a soft, yet quite lengthy, kiss. I smooth my hands across his back and tightly hug him as our lips continued caressing each other's, silently pleading for more. "Goodness Laurens, don't use our morning on what's gonna happen tonight." He teased, earning a shocked expression to cross my face. "Alex!" I lightly swat his shoulder as he continues laughing and trailing butterfly kisses all down my neck while I tease back, "Yeah, I'm the impatient one, huh?" He smiled back at me, looked up through his thick eyelashes, "Are you complaining?"

"No, I could never complain about being with you." I whisper, leaning down to kiss his velvet lips once again. "I love you, Lex." He snuggled into my side, "I love you too, Laurens. I'm so glad that you stalked me around a bookstore so that we could meet." I gently swatted his side again, "I did not stalk you...I just noticed a very attractive and intelligent young man and decided to see what kind of books he was interested in for the sheer purpose of curiosity." He nodded at my compromise and continued without acknowledgement, "And it's because you stalked me around a bookstore that we're together, and I couldn't be happier anywhere else." My eyes started tearing up as his affections, "Alex, you're gonna make me cry, stop making me love you so much." Sitting up and creating a taller stance, he jokingly replied, "It's not my fault that I'm undeniably good looking and get all the ladies."

"And men." I scoff, "So, Alexander 'Reliable-With-The-Ladies' Hamilton, what would you like to do today?" He pondered the suggestions that typically come around this time of year and settled on a night in, "Popcorn and a movie? I'm a simple guy, plus we'll get yelled at again if we cuddle too much in a public movie theater." I giggle, "Good point, love, I think that sounds like a great idea." Clambering out of bed, we got dressed in each other's sweatpants and sweatshirts, holding hands as we headed into mine and Laf's kitchen to make breakfast. "Good morning les amoureux!" a cheery voice filled the room, originating from the one and only Marquis de Lafayette. "Good morning Laf, I thought you and Herc were staying at Alex's place last night?" I asked, wondering why he was here instead of with one of his new best buds. "Ah! Oui! I did stay the night with Hercules, then I came back here to make you two a proper Valentine's Day breakfast!" We glanced at the counter and saw two plates with strawberry crepes covered in whipped cream.

"Oh, Laf, this is wonderful. Thank you so much!" Alex exclaimed, briefly leaving my side to give Lafayette an appreciative hug. "No problem, mon ami! I know neither of you can cook a proper breakfast, so I took it upon myself to create a good start to your day of romance!" I brought Alex into loving embrace as he returned, "Thank you Laf. What would we do without you?" He gave a hearty laugh, "You'd burn down the kitchen! Now, I am going back to hang with Hercules, as I do not want to be around you two on such a...passionate day. I will be back tomorrow morning! Make good decisions! Be safe!" He called out as he shut the front door, leaving us alone in the kitchen. "Shall we enjoy this amazing breakfast?" He asked, looking up at me from his common place on my chest. "We shall."

After the day had slipped by with walks by the lake and a nearby park, lunch at a charming cafe, and visiting Laf and Herc for dinner until they kicked us out for being "overly-affectionate", it was time to head back to the apartment. Upon entering, we both kicked off our shoes and slid onto the couch. "What would you like to watch, love? I'm alright with anything you want." I say, quickly getting up to microwave a bag of popcorn. "Titanic? I love cheesy movies." Alex suggests, bringing it up on Netflix. "Sounds good to me." I return with the bowl of popcorn and set it in front of us as we got comfortable -- meaning that I'm lying on the couch as Alex snuggles up to me, hardly even watching the screen.

Not even halfway through the movie, and nearly to the end of the popcorn, I start feeling kisses being peppered all along my jawline. "Lex, we haven't even gotten to the dramatic drawing scene yet." I suggest, trying to not be too hasty. "Laurens, it's our day, I don't care about anything but you." With that statement, I rapidly grabbed his ponytail and disposed of the hair tie that held it, letting his dark brunette locks tumble to his shoulders. Taking strands of said hair throughout my fingers, I began softly pulling on his hair as I initiated a deep and passionate kiss between us. He returned all the physical favors I gave to him, quickly suggesting, "Bedroom?" "Bedroom."
