Laurens' P.O.V:

"Laurensss..." I heard after a few knocks at the door. "Alexander must be here!" Lafayette practically yelled as he shot up off the couch to answer the door, meer inches away from the door handle when I pulled him back. "Laf, please don't say anything embarrassing about me...especially because I don't understand when you two are conversing with each other in French." I pleaded, to which he placed his hands on my shoulders, "Oui, John, do not worry, mon ami, it will be fine." I nodded, hoping he meant it, then opened the door to find Alex and his roommate Hercules. "Come in, come in." I awkwardly shuffled into the living room with Lafayette as the other two men followed. "Laurens, I've missed you." Alex said as he pulled me into a hug and pecked my cheek, "Alex, please stop making me blush..."

He chuckled as I held him closer, taking in his heavenly scent and basking in everything that I, too, have missed. "Do you guys need a minute or something?" Hercules asked as he and Laf slowly began making their way out the door. "What? No. I mean...yes? Wait, no." I said, contemplating my conflicting contradictions. On one hand, I didn't want to make Herc and Laf uncomfortable, but on the other hand, I've missed Alex so much and just wanted to be alone with him for a bit. "We're just gonna wait out here for a minute..." Herc said as he slowly shut the door. Immediately, Alex pulled me into a kiss. Scratch that - a desperately passionate kiss which had me melting at the knees. "Laurens," He said when we broke away, "I have something important to ask you before they come back in."

Oh God. I nod, worryingly awaiting his question. "Laurens. John... I know that you may not be thinking what I am, but I feel like we've grown considerably closer, and I've been afraid of asking for more than that, until now. Well, I mean, I am still afraid, but it's worth the risk. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd rather risk this question than never ask and regret it if we grow apart and-" I place a hand over his mouth, "Alex. What is your question." He looks down, "Will you...be my boyfriend?" I stare at him, slightly in shock from anticipation. "John, please say somethin-" I cut him off by pulling him into another deep kiss, finally breaking away to scream, "YES."

"Whoa, what'd I miss?" Lafayette asked as he and Herc hesitantly walked back into the room. "Nothing." I answered as Alex and I smiled at each other. Wow, he's beautiful. My boyfriend. My boyfriend is beautiful. "Whatever you say..." Hercules said, elbowing Laf in the side as they began laughing. Lafayette finally spoke up, "Avez-vous finalement demandez John out?" Alex slightly blushed and pecked my cheek, "Je lui ai demandé d'être mon petit ami." Lafayette raised his eyebrow, then Alex added on, "Il a dit oui." Hercules and I exchanged glances, not knowing what they were saying, even with my minimal understanding of the French language.

"Laf, what did I say about talking in French?" I loudly whispered. He grinned as me and proudly shouted, "ALEX ASKED JOHN TO BE HIS PETIT AMI AND HE SAID OUI." Hercules still looked quite confused and guessed, "Boyfriend?" We all nodded and he smiled, "Alright, congrats man, I know you've been wanting to do that for a while." He said as he gave Alex a high five, then slipping Lafayette a ten dollar bill, "You win." Alex and I exchanged glances, laughing at what we'd just witnessed. "Well, Laf and I agreed to go out by ourselves so you two can enjoy the evening together. See you later!" Herc announced as he and Laf walked out the door, chuckling at us. "What would you like to do?" I asked Alex, intertwining our fingers together. "Anything. As long as I'm with my boyfriend." I grinned and offered a quick kiss, "No problem."

We ended up half-watching whatever was playing on the TV. "Half-watching" because it was primarily Alex and I cuddled up on the couch and telling each other anything and everything that was on our minds while the TV played in the background. Eventually, night fell across the sky and we were enveloped into darkness. "Wanna go stargazing?" I asked. "Sure." He replied, getting off the couch and offering me his hand. We pulled on jackets and grabbed a blanket as we wondered down to the park that lay across the road from my apartment. We settled down on a park bench with the blanket wrapped around us and took in the glimmering stars in the sky. "They're so beautiful, I can believe I've never stopped to notice them before." Alex commented, taking my hand in his.

"I know almost all the constellations and have studied their history, but I've never actually bothered to see them." He added on. I smiled at him, "Then it's a good thing that we have plenty of time to find every single one." Alex laughed, "Actually, my lovely Laurens, we can not see every constellation from one location on this planet. We'd have to travel around the world to be in such a position to see the majority of starry connections in the night sky." I chucked at his information, "Even better. That means we can travel the world together." Alex looked at me with moonlight reflecting in his eyes, "I suppose it does."
