Lost & Found

Chapter Two

Jacey's POV:

I hug Trina and Amanda first, then I hug Rico. I sit down at outlet table in the cafeteria where we hang out in the morning. Jayvian sits next to me and we all just talk about our summer.

My summer basically was myself in my bed. I was married to it all summer with the occasional days of exercise. Jayvian had come to my house occasionally as well with Jane and Brae. We would all chill in the media room or in the pool. And then sometimes, it would just be the girls and I. Jayvian said that he had errands to do most of the time for his mom.

As the time passes by, Jayvian keeps looking at his phone and I ask him, "You okay?"
He replies with, "Yeah, just waiting for mom to text me back."
"Oh,okay.", I reply.

I see another group of my friends and I tell Jayvian that I am going to say Hi to them. As I walk over, I see a girl walk through the cafeteria doors and think wow, she is beautiful. But, I continue to walk passed her and greet my sisters and brothers. Shawn and Tera hug me first then it was Miyah and Carter. Finally my bestie, Matt hugs me from behind whilst spinning me around making me laugh.

Matt and I compare schedules and we find out that we have the same classes throughout the daY just like Jayvian and I.

I quickly dismiss myself from the conversation so I can go back to my other group. I hug all of them while I also kiss Matt on the cheek. I started the habit ever since freshmen year.

I walk towards my groups table just to see my seat taken by the beautiful girl that I saw walk in. I hurry over and also see Jayvian's arm on the back of her seat and think nothing of it. So, I take a seat next to Trina and jump into the conversation. Apparently, it's about our group's newest member, Gracey.

I look at Jayvian and smile at him but he doesn't know that its truly fake. Then I look at Gracey, who looks back at me with a smile which I know is fake as well. Obviously, I mastered the fake smile to the point where I can tell who else is putting it on their face.

I tell Jayvian, " Hey. We have to go if we are gonna make it to class."

"Um. Yeah, I promised Gracey that I would show her around since she just transferred and she has first period with us so we will see you there later."

" Okay, i'll see you when you go in then."

Jayvian smiles as me as he walks away without realizing he broke our first tradition we made since we became friends.
