Jacey's POV:
I wake up the next morning to the sight of my best friend. The guy who is always there. The guy who can make me smile without trying. The guy I had fallen in love with but got rejected once I had confessed my feelings. Now, I am caught between two guys who I have fallen for without thinking of the consequences. One had a girlfriend behind my back and the other rejected me once a while ago. Now, time to go to hell.
"Matt, we gotta get up."
I kiss his cheek as his eyes open and see a smile creep onto his face. One of his best features and it's directed towards me. Oh how I love you yet, I can't have you.
"Morning JayJay. Why don't you hop in the shower and I'll make breakfast."
"Okay."
I kiss Matt's cheek as I get up from the bed. I walk into the shower and do everything I need to do. Once I am ready, I walk downstairs and see that Matt had made me waffles. I absolutely love waffles and pancakes. Yum.
As I eat, Matt goes upstairs to get ready. Once he is done, we head out the door to see our group waiting. We walk up to them and say hi.
"Hey Jagi, how you feeling? " -Miyah
"You know we are here for you Bae. Always." -Tera
"I'm okay. And I know. I love you guys."-Jacey
"Love you too." -Miyah and Tera
We all get into the car and head over to school. Matt helps me get out once we get there cause my back is still aching badly. I see Jane and Brae so I wave them over when we reach the cafeteria. They say hey and we all just chill while talking. I lay against Matt and close my eyes.
Matt's POV:
I see that JayJay closes her eyes and frown. This wonderful girl next to me doesn't deserve to be treated how she is now. She needs to know that she is worth the world. I screwed that up when I rejected her but I knew that I couldn't be with her. I know who she has to be with. Although, that guy is being a total douche. He doesn't deserve her but I know she loves him. If only I could make her happy like he can.
Jacey's POV:
I open my eyes as I feel Matt shift in his seat next to me. I see him look toward the other side of the cafe and look as well. There, across the cafeteria is Jayvian and Gracey walking to my group. I can't help but feel replaced when they hug her and smile at her. Jane looks like she may go on a rampage and Matt looks like he's gonna need bandages for his knuckles after he's done with someone.
"Babe. Look at me. Hey, don't let them bother you. I'm fine."
"But he is just acting as if he didn't hurt you JayJay. I am not okay with that. I will never be okay with anyone hurting you."
"Well, ignore them for me then. I don't want you getting into trouble okay? You too, Jane. No trouble."
"Fine." Is the response I get back.
The bell rings and I start to head to class with Matt. We walk in and I decide to sit away from Jayvian and Gracey as they sit near the front. Matt helps me take off my bag and I hiss as the pressure on my back causes pain. I look at Matt and give him a smile letting him know that I was okay. Let's just hope I make it through the rest of the day.
