Lost & Found

Chapter Four

Jacey's POV:

<FLASHBACK>

I walked into the house and put my bag down. I walked into the living room to see my dad sitting on the couch with a belt in his hand. He calls me over and tells me to sit down on the chair in front of him.

I sit down and wait for him to speak. And I really wish he didn't. He told me he hated me. He told me it was my fault mom didn't love him anymore. He told me that I should be punished.

He ripped open the back of my shirt and started whipping me. I screamed and I cried. I was thankful that it was summer time.

<Flashback OVER>

I sat on the ground of the stall and watches the blood ooze out of the newly made cuts. I wiped up the blood and put a new wrap on. My fake smile placed back on my face, I walked outside and head towards the cafeteria.

I walk in and look for Jayvian. Then, I see Trina and Amanda with Rico at our table. I ask them if they had seen Jayvian yet and they said they hadn't. I walk back outside and make my way over to the ROTC building. Matt walks out and hurries over to me. I ask him if he had seen Jayvian and he looked nervous. I see him glance towards the building and I quickly rush in.

The sight breaks my heart. The sight of my best friend and the new girl kissing each other against the door.

Jayvian quickly pulls away and sees me. I turn around and run off to my secret place, the school garden. I don't want to be found. At least not now.

Jane's POV:

Brae and I are sitting at the table laughing at a joke that Tera told us. Shawn, Carter and Matt walk in and they looked really worried. They sit at the table and Matt starts to explain everything.

"Okay. Um, JayJay came up to me and she asked if I saw Jayvian and I did at the ROTC building, but I didn't tell her. He was kissing that new chick and JayJay saw it. She ran out before I could talk to her. I asked Shawn and Carter to help me look for her but we couldn't."

"Wait. What? Who?", I replied.

"Her name is Gracey. Jayvian has been dating her since break. Those time he was on his "errands", he was with her.", Brae said.

That stupid boy.

I get up from my seat and start to look through the cafeteria. I see Jayvian at his table with our other group and quickly go over there. He has his arm around the new girl and he is smiling at her.

I casually sit down and start a conversation with the group. "Hey Jay, where is Jacey?"

"I don't know. I haven't seen her yet."

"Really? Are you sure? Cause Matt just explained that Jacey is nowhere to be found cause of your little makeout session with your girlfriend over here, who you have been lying about during the summer. Are you listening to me? No one can find her. I swear Jay, if she isn't found by the end of the day, I am going to fuck you up."

I walk away without a response and try to cool down. I sure hope she is okay.
