Chapter 10
~Jaelyn's point of view~I woke to the sight of a shirtless Jesse sitting on the edge of my bed. His back was facing me and his head was in his hands. My room was still pitch black. It was probably only three or four in the morning.
"Jess?" I croaked, my voice barely a whisper.
Jesse turned around and faced me. I couldn't see his flawless face in the darkness of my room. But, I was still able to tell that he was upset. I just had to pay attention to his body language.
"Did I wake you up?"
"No," I lied, he did wake me up. My bed shook a lot when someone would make a lot of movement. Plus, sometimes, I'm very easy to wake up.
"Go back to sleep Jae." He mumbled, sitting up straight and placing his hands in his lap.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I sat up and went over to Jess. I wrapped my arms around him and put my head on his shoulder.
"I just couldn't sleep that's all."
"Why?" I knew I was prying but I wanted answers. Maybe I could help Jesse.
"Well, I mean, I did almost get arrested today for beating the shit out of my dad at the gym."
"I know, I'm sorry. But this is the second time I've caught you up really late at night."
"It's nothing you need to worry about. Jae, It's okay." Jesse said soothingly as he laid us both back down. He snaked one arm around my waist and the other was playing with my hair.
"Go back to sleep." He whispered into my ear. After that, we laid in silence until we both fell asleep.
**
Fucking birds just had to chirp at the crack of dawn. They were always so loud and would wake me up constantly.I squirmed around my bed, trying to get comfortable again to go back to sleep. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist to stop me from moving. Jesse's arms tightened around me and pulled me into his chest.
"Quit moving around so much." Jesse said huskily.
I didn't feel awkward with Jesse cuddling with me. I felt comfortable with him there. Whenever he wouldn't have his arms around me or if he wasn't making any physical contact with me it felt weird. It almost felt like I was missing something.
Jesse's body was sculpted by a Greek God everything was perfectly proportioned. His arms weren't too big or too small. They were perfect. His abs were the definition of perfection and his chest was to die for. Jesse looked even hotter with tattoos covering his entire body. Fuck just his abs being the definition of perfection Jesse was the definition of perfection.
Even his hair made me want to squeal. His hair was the color of dark chocolate. It was either precisely styled into a quiff or left messy and flattened down. I loved it when Jesse would leave it messy. He looked cuter when it was like that. He would look a thousand times hotter. Even Jesse's jawline made me want to melt like a popsicle.
I turned around to face Jesse and he cupped my face in his hands. "I like waking up to the sight of you in the morning."
I let out a small laugh and wrapped my arms around Jesse's body. Jesse's hands traced shapes on my face.
