Dead?

We arrived at where the hospital had burned down about half an hour later. We separated to look around, checking under boards and stuff. After a while I had found a few still alive, but not Lilac. I picked up my phone and dialed 911 to report bodies still alive that they had missed.

I probably knew she was dead deep down. But I wasn't giving up on her. I sat there, hopelessly looking down at the remains of the incident. Brian walked over and sat down.

"Sorry, I think she's either dead or not here." I looked down, those words certainly didn't make me feel better. Then I heard something, a voice, screaming. I stood up, listening closely to what was said.

"I Don't know where she is! I just came let me go!" A female screamed, it sounded familiar. I stopped myself from getting my hopes up. It could be Lilac, probably not.

I ran over without further gesture to Brian. When I got there most were in complete uniform. Everything covering their true identity, but one wasn't. She was held against the wall and I knew. I knew exactly who it was, Lilac.

I put my finger to my mouth signaling her to keep quiet. Then I grabbed a burned pole from something and crept over. When I got there I hit one on the head, one in the gut, and the other in multiple spots. As he was holding my sister down.

When they were all down I grabbed my sister. I wrapped around her tightly, and she returned the gesture. Then something warm soaked my leg and I saw she was bleeding. She was also pretty burned and beat up.

I picked her up and carried her to Brian. "I think she could use some medical help from your friend." After that they left and got back. They introduced Lilac to everyone and Jake began to help heal her up.
