Katie's POV~
Ugh, Monday and I hate Mondays. It's 6:30 AM and it was time for me to get ready for school so, I pulled off my covers and sat on the edge of my bed. After a quick yawn, I grabbed my glasses from my nightstand and headed to the my bathroom. I first washed my face, brushed my teeth and put my contacts in. After that, I did my makeup. When I finished putting on my makeup, I went to my closet and chose to wear a sleeveless crop top with its matching skirt and my white Adidas. As for my hair, I braided it into a fishtail braid.
Once I was done getting ready, I went downstairs to the kitchen and greeted my mom and dad good morning.
"Good morning!" I said, as I hugged my mom and dad.
"Good morning sweetie!" My mom and dad said.
"Your pancakes are on the table." My mom said.
"Thanks mom."
"Your welcome." She said, as she looked at her watch and rushed up the stairs.
"Your mom and I are running late for work. She has to train a new employee at the cafe and I have a business meeting. This morning is going to be super hectic. I'm sorry that we couldn't have a proper breakfast today." My dad said and kissed my forehead.
"It's fine." I said, knowing that our mornings are always super hectic.
My mom owns a coffee shop at the end of the block and she's home most of the time. As for my dad, he owns a humongous business that's too complicated for me to explain. I rarely listen to him talk about his boring work. My dad wants me to take over the business when I'm older but I doubt I'll ever find that interesting. I prefer jobs that are in the medical field and entertainment field.
I checked the clock in the dining room and saw that I was also running late. I shoved my pancakes in my mouth and ran into the living room to grab my backpack. While I was in the living room, I saw my dog Carly laying down on her bed.
"Mom! Did you take Carly outside this morning?" I yelled from downstairs.
"No, that's you're job." She said, as she was walking down the stairs.
Ugh, I said to myself.
"Carly come here." I said, as I grabbed her leash.
I brought Carly out so that she could do her business and once I got into the house, I made sure to refill her food and water bowl.
"Okay sweetie I'm gonna be leaving now. I love you and see you later." My dad said, to my mom and I.
"I love you too!" My mom and I said in unison.
I'm finally done. I said to myself and plopped myself on the couch. Ow my butt still hurt from falling on it too much last night.
Shoot. Where's my phone?
I went back into my room and unplugged my phone from the charger. Now I'm done.
I headed out the door when I totally forgot my lu-
"Katie, you forgot your lunch." My mom said, interrupting my thoughts and handed it to me.
"Your a life saver mom. I love you!" I said, as I headed to my car.
"I love you too! See you at home!" She said and waved goodbye.
