Harry’s P.O.V

Panic. Pure undaunted Panic. That’s what I was feeling. Zayn and Liam were here and apparently anxiety meant that my wings had become visible again. But how could I help it? How could I not be freaking out? It had been a miracle that Louis had been able to take everything in the way that he did and there was no way that I was going to be that lucky twice, let-alone three consecutive times. No, with my good fortune Louis wouldn’t be able to convince them to leave and knowing those boys they were going to come looking for me any minute now. Then they’d find me, be shocked, then horrified and then finally disturbed before turning and leaving and never coming back.

They’d think that I was some kind of freak, and they’d be completely right! I mean, this was crazy! Angels didn’t exist; they were a myth, a fable! Not Real.

 I closed my eyes as my own thumping heartbeat rang out loudly in my ears. 

But it was real, and I was an angel. And there was every chance that I wasn’t going to be able to prevent Liam and Zayn from finding this out.

And dammit, I was terrified.

I squeezed my eyes even tighter shut, as if that could dispel the immense horror that was only intensifying with every minute that passed. Not knowing what else to do I took a deep shuddering breath and bit my lip as if that might hold back further terror.

Come on Styles, pull it together.

Drawing in another shaky breath I opened my eyes and still entirely freaked out and still seeing no way out of this dire situation, I wasn’t surprised to find that my eyes had sought out Tammy’s almost immediately. And almost immediately; my stomach lurched.

She was staring at me, and there was this look in her blue irises that had my blood running cold. It was a look that very clearly said that she was about to do something very stupid, and by the guilty expression that she was sending my way, I was petrified to think that I might actually know what it was.

Then, before I could even think to act, her wings had suddenly flickered out of existence and she had opened the door just enough to slip through without trouble. And then with a click the door had swung shut behind her, and she was gone. I could only stare in disbelief. 

She wouldn’t, oh god tell me that she wouldn’t.

But deep down I knew that if Tammy really believed that it was for the better, she really would.

She would tell them.

Louis’ P.O.V

Completely lost, I stared at Zayn and Liam, a very forced smile on my face as I mentally freaked out. What did I do now? What could I do now? They wanted to see Harry, and if I said no they’d know immediately that something was wrong and go find him themselves. But if they did see him then they’d also see his wings and that was definitely something to avoid. But maybe Harry could hide them; maybe he could keep them invisible just long enough to see the boys. He could act sick during their visit, and then they’d leave never knowing a thing! But no... Tammy was with Harry and if they saw her, with wings or without them, there would be questions that neither I nor the others had any hope of answering without revealing everything.

Oh my god this was such a mess.

And we were so screwed.

“So, how is the patient?” Liam asked, his voice casual enough, but laced with a kind of concern that he couldn’t honestly conceal. I knew that even if the younger singer hadn’t detected the panic I was feeling yet, he’d probably figured out that something was up the second that I hadn’t taken him and Zayn straight to Harry. Speaking of the Bradford boy, his expression wasn’t much different to Liam’s own and they were both staring at me expectantly. It was then that I realised that I hadn’t answered Liam yet and both of my band mates were staring at me and I had absolutely no idea. I had absolutely no idea what to do, or what to say! And god dammit, I was freaking out! What was I supposed to do?!
