Better be keeping those apologies to yourself

Cyrene's POV

Shay didn't come to school for the next few days and I was so ecstatic as I didn't need to face him. Even though he didn't come to school, I prepared myself for the perfect showdown to his apologies.

To my surprise he did come today. Me and Courtney are currently sitting on our lunch table. When I see Shay, I push my glasses firmly against my nose and hope for the best. I still could not forget how he shouted at me and how he told me to stay away from Shawn. Shawn doesn't know about the fight we had.

My bestfriend on the other hand is soooo stirred up and thrilled. She looks like she's the one who broke up and all.

She was quite pretty, her name is Cassinoah Courtney, we all call her Courtney. She has black straight hair with fringes and has mesmerising deep ocean - blue eyes and pale skin.

She looks at me and sighs,"You really are going to do this, aren't you?" And I just nod in response.

She was in love with Shay's cars, especially the red one which ends with a guinea, I mean lamborghini.

She finds it quite awesome whereas I just think it's another normal red car.

We all look at Shay, hoping that he would come and apologise but what happens makes our jaws drop at once.

He walks casually, straight to a girl, I guess her name's Jess and tenderly kisses her lips filled with heaps of sticky lip gloss.

That time I realise that I'm actually hurt and boiling with anger while Courtney just stares at me with a worried look as my expression changes in a drastic angry one.

I try to suppress my anger and give a wide fake smile as I turn to face her.

Surprisingly, her face turns all jolly and happy again. Did l mention she was actually a bit dumb about knowing when people fake their smiles?

After a short while, Shawn comes running towards our table panting,"What the hell happened? Why are you smiling? What happened to the Veldez guy?Why is he kissing her?" Then he pauses and continues," Did you guys break up? Oh shit! Are you ok?"

Too much questions to answer. I look at Shawn still smiling and say,"I'm fine bruv. We broke up and he already moved on which is good."

...

Then the day continues with the usual basis. Shay better be keeping those apologies to himself.
