My quick Author's note: Obviously, there is one reason why you should all HATE me right now!
1. I either don't turn in my columns on time, or I don't turn them in AT ALL.
There you go. I am a horrible person for having to have you all wait on my columns! I am now hoping that will all change!
I would usually get my columns done on Saturdays or Fridays, because I wouldn't have time to write it over the weekdays. (I know, worst excuse ever.) Well, now volleyball season for me is over, so maybe I will have more time to be able to write my columns ahead of time!
Maybe that will affect my writing time, or not. We'll just have to wait and see!
Again, super sorry for all my delays. I'm just thankful that you all have been able to be so patient with me!
Before I get into what I am going to talk mainly about, I just wanted to say that I got back from a Nascar race a couple of days ago, and I wondered, did Disney ever think of getting it's own car? I mean, seriously?! Don't you think a Disney racecar would be awesome? There could be hidden mickeys, and on the hood, the iconic cartoon Disney castle that showed up at the beginning of every Disney movie... I just think it would look really cool!
Now, onto the actual thing I want to talk about. I'm here to give out some details of a movie that Disney making right now, but hasn't been releasing as much information as Maleficent and such. It's going to be a movie based on multiple different fairytales, called Into the Woods.
I have the cast, so I really want to start with Little Red Riding Hood. There are two girls who auditioned for the part that really stood out to me, and only one got the part. One who may be very well known to you all, and the other not so much. The well known one, is none other than Sophia Grace Brownlee, who has been shocking everyone with her amazing voice! You may also have seen her on Ellen, maybe 5 or 6 times. The other not so well known one is Lilla Crawford, who starred in the title role of Broadway's Annie.
So, when you think of it, who would Disney pick? Wouldn't you think it would be Lilla for having much more experience? Apparently, it wasn't at first. Disney had picked Sophia Grace, but I just don't know why. Was her audition performance better than Lilla's? I just don't think Little Red Riding Hood would work well with a British accent, no matter how cute it is!
That's when on September 16th moviefone.com released that Lilla Crawford would be playing the part instead of Sophia Grace, since Lilla is older than Sophia Grace. I think Lilla is going to fit the role perfectly judging by appearance!
The other main characters of the cast: Johnny Depp as The Wolf (YES!), Meryl Streep as The Witch, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, James Corden as The Baker, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, Frances de la Tour (Who played the headmistress of Beauxbatons in the 4th Harry Potter film if you didn't know!) as The Giant (And she played a giant in the Harry Potter film too. A little weird, don't you think?), and Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel.
There are MANY other characters, but those are the only ones I wanted to share with you for now! If you want the full cast, you can go to this link -> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2180411/
So, when you look at the cast, it is going to be a mix of some of the famous fairytale stories, which are Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and The Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. The only description I could find was this: A witch conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children's stories including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and The Beanstalk, and Rapunzel.
I don't have too much information, but I will update you guys as I get more!
Just to let you know, the next column I'm planning on doing is going to be on Disney quotes! Now my problem isn't finding the quotes. That's fairly easy. It's picking the movies I'll be getting the quotes from! That's why I'm asking that people will give me which Disney movies they want the quotes from. I would like AT LEAST 10 different movies. Therefore, 10 different quotes! Simple. I hope...
Comment below on your thoughts on this article, and which movies you would want to see in the next column!
