Okay now back to topic of writing! Who here has always wanted to write a horror story? Who here as wrote a horror story?! Well either or in my personal opinion you ALL should read this!!
When writing a horror novel you should now your complete storyline as your writing it. In a horror novel you have the "Big 3" while writing them.
Big 3:
1. Someone has to die, it could be anyone but someone has to die.
2. Suspense is the key to all horror novels; you need suspense to keep the viewer's reading.
3. Mystery is another gear that keeps a horror novel going! Just like a magician a writer never tells their secrets!
Your book cover also gives a big impression of your horror novel!
Here are some "Do's" and "Don'ts" while writing a horror novel:
DO: Describe where your characters are; describe the surroundings of every room or stair well there in!
DON'T: Give your story a happy ending; most horror novels don't have happy endings.
DO: End your story with a BANG! The ending sentence needs to be a cliffhanger!
DON'T: Sequels aren't always good to write for horror novels, the sequel won't always feel the same creepiness.
DO: Add a preface to a horror novel; it will set the tone for you and your readers!
So let's see did I get everything covered?! Did I write what needed to be said?! NOPE!!
Here are the main things you need to remember while writing a horror novel:
1. DETAIL
2. DRAMA
3. SUSPENSE
4. HORROR!!!!!
Horror is the biggest thing you need to remember since after all you are writing a horror novel!
Be creative while writing a horror novel, it's extremely easy to take someone else's idea!
