Chapter Twelve: A Late Haruka

Yuu's P.O.V

Dressed for school, I said goodbye to mom. I left home and I stood in front of the house gate.

"*Thinking* Where's Haruka? She always comes here at this exact hour..." I thought, confused.

I waited for a while, but Haruka never came.

"Ok, this is getting ridiculous!" I said, angrily.

I grabbed my phone and called Haruka.

Haruka was sleeping, trying to grab her phone and answer the call.

"Ehmm... Umm... Mwahh..." Haruka said, happily and sleepy.

Haruka grabbed her phone.

"Hello?" Haruka said, sleepy.

"Haruka, wake up! It's 7:40! You'll be late!" I said, acting all bossy.

"Ok... 5 more minutes." Haruka said, still sleepy.

"Ok. Just don't be late! I'll be waiting at school." I said.

I hang up and started walking to school.

Later in classroom 1-A...

The teacher was talking about atoms.

"*Thinking* Haruka's late..." I thought, nervously.

Haruka's P.O.V

I was still sleeping. Then I woke up.

I yawned. I looked at my clock. My eyes widen.

"Aaaaah! I overslept! It's 8:04 in the morning! I'm late for school!" I said, getting up from bed and running to my closet.

I opened the closet and grabbed my school clothes. I grabbed my purse and backpack and I barged out of my room. I ran down the stairs.

"Haruka? What's wrong?" Mom said.

"I'm late for school!" I yelled, putting on my shoes.

"What?! I told you to sleep-" Dad said but once I closed the house's front door, I lost earshot of Dad's sentence.

"*Thinking* Oh, my perfect attendance streak is ruined! That and Yuu will be very disappointed." I thought, nervously.

*Imagining*

Lunchbreak...

"Haruka! You're late!" Yuu said.

"I'm sorry Yuu-chan! I was very sleepy!" I said, sobbing.

"No excuses! You could simply just sleep early!" Yuu said.

"I know." I said, sadly.

"So as punishment, I'll make you look at me getting undressed!" Yuu said, angrily.

*Real Life*

I squealed happily.

"Punishment? More like guilty pleasure! If Yuu-chan were to do that, it'd be amazing!" I said, happily and running with my eyes closed.

I accidently bumped into a tree.

"Oof!" I said.

I looked at the tree.

"Focus Haruka! You're late, you need to hurry!" I said to myself.

I bumped into many things along the way.

"Gosh, why am I so clumsy?!" I said, annoyed.

I made it to school just to find out it was already lunch break.

I sighed.

"Late..." I said.

"Haruka!" Yuu yelled.

"Huh? Yuu-chan?" I said, happily.

I ran towards her.

"Stop right there!" Yuu said.

"Huh?" I said, confused.

"You're late! I told you to wake up and you ignored me!" Yuu yelled.

"It's ok. I'm sorry. I was just very sleepy." I said and smiled.

"No excuses! You could just sleep early!" Yuu said.

"Yeah, I know." I said.

"So as punishment..." Yuu said.

"*Thinking* I know what's coming next!" I said, excited.

"You have to do all my homework in my house! And no kissing!" Yuu said.

"Huh?!" I said, confused.
