Ren sat underneath a tree and opened his bag, grabbing the things he'd packed for lunch. A sandwich and a bottle of water, with an apple for dessert. Taking a bite out of his sandwich Ren though about what had happened earlier. When the senior had almost grabbed ahold of his necklace, Ren panicked and reacted. He could never take this necklace off. Never again.
"Excuse me, Mister Tsukino." A quiet voice chirped.
Looking up, Ren saw it was the girl with long brown hair that he'd seen with the two Sohma boys.
"May I sit with you?"
Ren only motioned for her to do what she wanted and went back to his food. The girl sat down and took out her own lunch.
"Excuse me, Mister Tsukino?"
"You're really into the formalities aren't you?"
The girl looked slightly embarrassed. A light pink color dusting her cheeks.
"Well, my name is Tohru Honda. I hope that we can be friends, Mister Tsukino."
Ren twitched a bit. His first day here, and a girl he didn't even know wanted to be friends with him. He couldn't be around girls, no, he couldn't let his other secret get out.
"I like your necklace, it's really pretty."
An awkward silence answered her.
"So this is were you've been, Miss Honda."
Tohru looked up to see Yuki, Hana, and Uo walking up them them. She heard Ren pack up his lunch and stand up.
"Huh, made friends with the newbie already, Tohru?" Uo asked curiously.
"His electric signals, they seem almost inhuman." Hana stated almost emotionlessly, her eyes seemingly boring into Ren's.
"Trying to pick a fight? I don't care if you are a girl, it won't matter when I-"
"W-W-Wait! Hana was just kidding! She always says things like that! She didn't mean to hurt your feelings!" Tohru said frantically, hoping she could avoid the fight that seemed like it was about to break out.
Ren only turned and walked away, a rather dark aura radiating off of him. Tohru sighed sadly, she hadn't been able talk to Ren like she'd hoped to. Turning to her friends, Tohru noticed that Yuki was glaring rather intently at Ren, as if he was trying to figure him out.
The final bell rang and Tohru packed up her things. She didn't have to work tonight, so she could go home and cook dinner this time.
"Hey, what are we gonna have to eat tonight?" Kyo asked as he walked up to her.
Tohru smiled.
"I was thinking something along lines of poached salmon and rice, does that sound good to you?" She asked.
Tohru swore she almost saw Kyo begin to drool when she said salmon.
"That sounds delicious, Miss Honda. I can't wait to taste it." Yuki said as he joined them.
As they exited the classroom, Tohru noticed that the Prince Yuki Fan Club wasn't lying in wait like usual. Yuki noticed it to because he looked around, a slightly surprised look on his face. Then they noticed Ren walking down the hall, with a small crowd of girls stalking behind him. Looks like the Prince Yuki Fan Club had a new target for the time being. Poor Ren.
