When you clean your rabbits cage is best to use solutions specially made for cleaning small pets cages. Bleach, Mr. Orange cleansers not not good if bun bun decides to lock or chew on things. Below I've posted a photo of the items that I use to clean Casjmere's cage.
A small broom comes in handy when bun bun gets messy with their hay, or pellets (food). The two sprays are sanitizing and smell good and pet friendly if the rabbit where to lick or chew. They are non toxic. The wipes are also non toxic, but I recommend a follow up with paper towel.
I mostly use the North Odor spray, because it cleans the best, and smells good. I use the North Odor Wipes when cleaning Casjmere's litter Pans. Sometimes I Souray then down to. No Odor works well in the litter pans, along with the paper bit litter because they both eliminate odors.
When rabbits urinate, their Odor is strong. Therefore the paper bitd soak it up real well, and eliminates odors with the No Odor spray.
No Odor spray, Wipes, and Cage cleaning deoderizor I got at the local Walmart. The small broom I got at the dollar store.
Do NOT use these sprays in the fid or water bowl. The food and water bowl should be cleaned with soap & water.
Food bowl do not necessarily need to be cleaned daily. I clean Casjmere's food bowl weekly, but I clean his waterbowl, and add new water 2 times a day.
If you have a greens troph (I have one for Casjmere) clean it everything before you put new greens in it. Note: for a list of safe Veggies refer back to Chapter Four: Safe Foods For Bun Bun
When it comes to cleaning litter pans, monitor them daily to see how much bunny uses it, when it becomes soaked, or "crowded" clean it. I only clean one every two days because it is the most prominent one used. Sometimes I clean it every day. Casjmere sleeps in the other one, even though I've provided a cat bed. (Brand new never been used)
