Gia's POV:
***Kassidy and I hopped in the car and started in. We were heading off to a double date with Jay and Caleb. It was going to be so much fun! We were meeting at the diner late at night just to hang out and eat. I looked at the clock, which read eleven o'clock. I put my foot on the pedal and we were off.
---
We reached the diner to see both of their case in the parking lot along with three others which were probably the employees cars. Kassidy and I stepped out and walked up the concrete stairs to the door where Caleb and Jay were waiting. They were already in conversation.
"See you two have already met." I said, smiling.
"Yea, he's great!" Said Jay, kissing me lightly on the lips. I smile.
We all walk in together, Caleb holding the door open for all of us. I smile inwardly for Kassidy. She found a good guy that's for sure.
We sit down at a booth in the corner, the only other person in there is an old man reading the news on the other side of the restaurant.
The waiter immediately comes over.
"What would you like?" He asks.
"I would like a bacon burger and orange juice." Says Jay, smiling. Caleb, who is next to him, orders second.
"I'll take just a water."
"I'll have a chocolate milkshake and blueberry pancakes please."
"I'll have chicken noodle soup." Kassidy says, finishing the order.
"I'll be over with that in a moment."
"Okay thank you." Kassidy says.
"So, Caleb do you play any sports?" Jay asks.
"Yes, I play basketball. But I'm in college to be an accountant."
"That's odd." I blurt out.
"Why?" Caleb asks as Kassidy slips my thigh under the table in a signal of 'that's rude!'
"Well you play this sport that you think one type of person plays that wouldn't be an accountant at all. It's a good odd, you'll have a lot of skills just... Yea..." I stop awkwardly.
The waiter is already over with our food. I start eating my pancakes as soon as they are placed in front of me.
Kassidy starts slowly eating her soup, and Jay is halfway through his burger already.
"This is good." Caleb jokes, sipping his water.
We all laugh and eat until the diner is closed, and the moon is completely visible.
_____Dakota's POV:
***
Blaine, Sage and I sit on the grass outskirts around a huge fountain. Sages voice is set low and scratchy, the same as it always is for his role.
"Okay ready for the monologue?" I ask.
Sage nods his head, then clears his throat. "I'm sorry I took so long. How does this sound for the Kaltzberg Festival- the finest choral group in Austria, the greatest mixed quartet in all Europe- and the best soprano in the world?"
"Max, That's something I'd love to hear!" Blaine says in his girl voice. I laugh like always.
"So would I!" Sage continues. "All I have now is a basso who isn't even..." he trails off thinking. "Damn!" He says, breaking character. Blaine and I both say the same thing:
"Profound!"
"You always forget that line." Blaine says, smacking Sage playfully.
"I know, no need to hit me. That hurt!" Sage said, holding the back of his head.
"That's the point." Blaine said.
The two start to bicker as I zone out humming 'Helpless' from 'Hamilton: An American Musical.'
Suddenly I zone back in as Sage hits my arm.
"Singing the song you're feeling are we?"
"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.
"Well it's obvious, isn't it? Blaine makes you Helpless!"
"How did you know that's what I was humming, trying to slightly change the subject as I grow red.
"Everyone who does theater knows- oh forget it. But am I right?"
"No!" I say, defensively and flustered.
"Sure." Sage says, slowly and suspiciously. It's my turn to slap him.
"I don't like Blaine lie that."
"Why are you getting so defensive, I believe you."
"No you don't. I am reaffirming it."
"Okay, okay."
That was close. But as I look at the disappointment on Blaines face, I can't help but wonder: What if he does feel the same way?
_____Ellen's POV:
***
As soon as Indigo and I finish setting the table whit snacks, there is a knock on the door of our apartment.
"She's here!" I can't help but say, running to the door. I fling it open to see Ashley standing there. I almost knock her over a I jump to hug her.
"Hi." She says. "I ca't breathe."
"Oh, okay." I say, backing up. Indigo is now right behind me. Ashley steps forward and they hug.
"I'm so exited you're here!" Indigo says. I nod in agreement.
"What a greeting." Ashley says, smiling.
"Sorry if I hurt you." I say, scratching my neck.
"It's okay." Ashley says.
---
We are all sitting around the table, eating snacks when suddenly the forbidden topic comes up.
"So, did you hear about Ellen's boyfriend?"
"Ellen has a boyfriend?" Ashley asks, leaning back in her seat surprised.
"No, I don't. Indigo wishes I did."
"His name is Damon. Next time he asks her out, she has to say yes. It was a dare."
"Of corse you two would do that. Don't you think that's a little mean?"
"What do you mean?" Indigo asks, eating a pretzel.
"Well, you're making him think Ellen actually likes him when she doesn't, so she goes on one date and he's heartbroken because he thinks he did bad."
"Yea, but I'd bet a good amount of money that they go on several dates. Ellen just won't give him a chance.
"I don't like him."
"See Indigo."
"It's not mean. She's just trying it. She'll never know until she tries."
"Indigo has a point Ellen. But, you should go because you want to, not because Indigo told you to."
"I do want to. Indigo needs twenty dollars to buy herself the realization it's never happening."
"You bet on it too! What is with you two." Ashley laughs, unable to contain a laugh.
"Yes, we did." Indigo says, laughing. We all laugh with her...
_____Elsa's POV:
***
Girard and I sat eating out dinner together. We ordered the same thing, spaghetti with meatballs.
"This is good." I say, trying not to eat it too sloppy.
"Yea it is." He takes a bite. "So, are you ready for training?"
"As excited as I am, the idea of training is already making me unable to wait for Christmas Break."
"You couldn't have voiced my feeing anymore accurately." Girard says, laughing.
I laugh. Then it's quiet.
"Elsa." Girard says. Hearing him say my name makes my spine tingle. The way he said it, it was so genuine and smooth. It was just my name! I met his eyes and realized he was serous, he had something important to say. Immediately I start to panic.
What is he tells me he isn't interested and just want to be friends? Shit, all this joy ruined. But then he smiles, and puts his hand on mine which is resting on the table. I start to feel calm again. As much as it would suck I know we could still be good friends and find other people, right?
"Elsa, I have to ask you something."
"Yes?" I ask, my voice shaking.
"We have been talking for the past few weeks and I've started to really like you. You are a nice girl who I missed out on long ago. I am kind of glad I did, because relationships now mean more."
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a rectangle box, handing it to me. I open it, and inside is a necklace. It's silver with an anchor in the bottom.
I want to cry. I want to squeal with joy, or scream in triumph. All I can feel is my heart fluttering. He takes the necklace out of the box and walks over to me. He kneels down and puts it around my neck, clasping it together. He stands, and sits back in his chair, taking my hand again.
"Elsa Malloy, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!" I say, holding back tears of joy. He smiles.
"I'm so glad."
