Dakota's POV:
***

"Alright!" Mr Bailey said, walking through the wooden doors which slowly shut behind him. "Today we are blocking the scene where Maria meets the children. I should hope you're all off book, if not there will be some discussing to do."
I looked to Blaine and laughed. We were REALLY off book. We always studied lines in between classes, so we knew that didn't concern us.
"Now," Mr. Bailey began again. "I need Maria, Captain offstage right and all the Children in the back except Brigitta who will also be offstage right." We all nodded and swiftly moved to our spots as we began blocking.
---

"Now that we've done that let's run it with this casts, but just from where Maria and the Captain start speaking." We all shuffled to our spots. "Whenever you're ready." Mr Bailey smiled.
"Good Afternoon Fraulein Maria." Blaine said from across the stage, bowing and walking over stiffly.
"Good afternoon, Captain." I stare at him curiously.
"Why do you stare at me like that?" Said Blaine, Finally reached me so we can speak face to face.
"You don't look at all like a sea captain sir." I say. Blaine and I hold back laughs. He then steps back, offended.
"Well, you don't look at all like a governess." He retorts. Then he looks me up and down and I start to feel flustered. Why though? It's just a scene. It's just blocking. I fidget uncomfortably, but this is not blocking. It's real. "I don't like that dress, you'll have to change it." He finishes the line.
"I don't have any other dresses, when we enter the Abby, all of our worldly possessions are given to the poor."
"........ LINE?" Blaine finally breaks character.
"Oh my, you were doing so good! We'll just have the other cast block it. Go study lines outside." Mr Bailey says, beckoning the other captain and Maria up to the stage.
As we quietly walk out, Blaine laughs.
"What?" I ask, as the wooden doors close behind us."
"I was just thinking."
"Yea, about what?" I ask, as we sit on the floor against the wall.
"I don't know. I kind of feel like I'm in your shadow when we do that scene. You're really good."
"Thanks, but I can agree to disagree. You're amazing."
"Re-really? Thanks. But when I say that line about the dress your reaction seemed so... Natural."
"Yea well I wasn't-" I cut myself off.
"Wasn't what?" He asked.
"I wasn't... Ready for that line to be so old from your end." I cover up wha I was really thinking... That wasn't acting. They way he looked at me made me feel... Something. I didn't know what it was yet though.

Elsa's POV:
***
I walked to my usual spot after classes where me and Girard always sat and studied. the same old bench under the same old tree. As he approached my hear beat began to speed up. What was he going to say about Last night. I had no idea, but all the 'what if's' made me want to hurl.
"Hello." He said, sitting down next to me.
"Hi." I said back, as we began to take out our books.
"So about hanging out..."
"Yea about that um..."
"Yea..."
There was a long awkward pause.
Tuesday night. No books. Just a..."
"A what?"
"A date, I guess."
I smiled inwardly. "Sure, that sounds fun." But on the inside I was freaking out. A date?! As in... Romantic or like two friends handing out? The question was bothering me but that wasn't a question I could just ask.
"Okay. The Movies. We could see something around seven."
"What movie?"
"I'm up for anything."
"Okay, cool."
There was another long awkward pause. Girard just asked me on a date. Not to study. Just to actually hang out. This was my middle school dream happening, right now.
"So," He began conversation again. "Excited for training?"
"Well yes. Just, there's no turning back. I'll have minimal time to see my family."
"Yea, that makes me sad. I'll also have minimal time to-" He stopped.
"What?" I asked.
"Never mind. This work is important." He said turning to me. As he did, his hand accidentally touched mine. A shiver went through my body and the hair on my neck began to stand up. The light touch was almost like a tease. It was as if he wanted my hand but decided against it... That is, if the touch was on purpose, but I had a feeling it wasn't. I was just going off and overthinking like usual.
_______

Kassidy's POV:
***
Caleb and I walked alone on our third walk that week, one the previous day, one this morning and one now. All I could think about was what he had said about me. Did he actually like me like that. What if it was just some sick joke my mind had made up. If it was, then my mind was really realistic. I turned to look at Caleb, his head about my height and his eyes wide and concentrated. He wore the same old sneakers everyday, and always had something related to him college on him. Today is was a sweatshirt. He turned to look at me and after a moment reached his hand out for mine. There was no tension like usual when I guy would take my hand. This was different. It just felt so natural. His skin was Soft, until you reached his knuckles, which were cracked from the coming fall breeze. They were cold and clammy but homely.
And then I realized we had stopped. "Kassidy," he said, turning to me with a smile. "How much do you like me?"
"How much do you like me?" I asked back.
"I told you yesterday. Let's make a deal. In exactly a month we will have a list of all the things we like about each other. And dislike. Whatever the trait is the other doesn't like we will fix if fixable."
"Why? We all have flaws."
"I'm talking small things. Phone habits, gum chewing anything like that. We can't have a reason to even be a little mad at the other."
"Why?" I asked.
"Well we are spending a lot of time together, each of us should be as happy as possible. That'll be hard for me..."
"Why?" I asked.
"I already am." He replied. "Well, almost. Kassidy, I'd like you to... You know... Be my girlfriend."
My whole body was filled with a happiness only compared to the happy you feel when you remember a fond memory.
"Yes." Was all I could manage before he hugged me close. I never wanted him to let go.
_____

Ellen's POV:
***

I picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hello my Ellen dumpling. Eh that doesn't sound right. What do you want you horse-titty?"
"Thanks Grandma." I reply, rolling my eyes.
"Look, I wanted to call and ask what you were doing Christmas break."
"Why?" I ask.
"I am going to Belgium to visit some relatives and just wanted to let you know my house is open to you. You can bring your friends all break I don't care."
I smile. "Thanks so much! I'd love to!"
"Take care Monkey-dick! The keys are under the mat in the front." She said, hanging up. The fact that she just entrusted me to her house was amazing. It was huge. It had eight bedrooms, two family rooms, a huge kitchen, six bathrooms and a hang out basement and a spare room. She inherited some crazy fortune from her parents but she didn't know until two years ago so she blew it all on her house. It was he prized possession. I quickly texted all my friends asking if they wanted to stay over Christmas break.
Dakota and Elsa immediately replied with a yes, followed by Gia who asked if jay could come which I was expecting. They has vacationed together before so I said yes thinking they'd sleep in the same bed.
Ashley and Indigo quickly replied back with a yes as well and then Kassidy. Kassidy said yes, then said wait and then texted back: 'Can my new boy friends come? I was going to stay here with him for Christmas since his family has a long vacation planned and he won't get back to school in time.
'Hold up, you have a boyfriend?' Elsa quickly texted back.
'Yes and you could all meet him then!'
'Fine by me.' I texted back, though I was a little hesitant.
'Can't wait to meet him!' texted Indigo.
It was going to be a crowded Christmas.
