A Little Trouble Will Do

Chapter Twelve

Ellen's POV:

I opened my phone to a series of twenty-one texts from Elsa complete with capital letter and many exclamation points.

'GUESS WHO I'M DATING??!!!"

'ELLEN RESPOND!!!'

'I WANT TO TELL YOU NOW'

'YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!'

'OKAY, I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL YOU!!!'

'I AM DATING GIRARD SMITH!!!!'

I looked at them for a while before fully comprehending what she had told me. After years and years and years of her fawning over this boy she was finally dating him? That didn't surprise me, I always saw it coming. Just not this late. I immediately smiled and felt happy for my friend. After all this time they were finally dating.

'OMG DOES DAKOTA OR ASHLEY KNOW?' I responded. It didn't take long for her to respond.

'I TOLD THEM, YOU ARE THE LAST PERSON TO RESPOND!!'

There was not a single word in this stream of texts that wasn't in all capitals.

'Can I call you?' I texted back. She never responded, she ended up calling me herself.

"AHHHH ELSA!" I said, unable to prevent myself from jumping into the air.

"I know, I can't believe it. He gave me a necklace, took me on a date and everything. This has been the best night of my life." She said. Her voice was cracking, unable to contain her excitement.

We continued talking, and she relayed the whole night for me. Suddenly there was a knock on my door.

"I've got to go." I said.

"Okay." She replied cheerily. "Bye!"

"Bye!" I hung up and went over to open the door.

When I opened it, Indigo was standing there smiling. She didn't even ask, and hurriedly stepped in and slammed the door behind her.

"Did you hear about Elsa and Girard?" She asked, her smiled growing even wider it looked as if it could rip her face in half.

"Yes, I was just talking to her on the phone."

"I am so excited for her." She said.

"So am I." Ellen smiled.

Dakota's POV:

I received my least favorite kind of text to get. It was a text that read 'May we please speak?' And worst of all it was from Blaine.

'Sure do you want to through text or do you want to speak in person?' I texted back.

'May we please speak in person? It's important.'

'Sure, when?' I texted back nervously.

'Now,' He said 'It's urgent.'

'Alright.' I responded. 'Where do you want to meet?'

I texted back. My hands were shaking and my palms were sweaty. It was difficult to agree to do something that made me anxious but I couldn't avoid it and I couldn't avoid him. I wanted to see him every chance I could.

'I will be at your apartment in 5 minutes.' He responded.

He was coming to my apartment? I was shaking. Now, not only was I nervous about seeing him and speaking to him, but he was coming to my apartment. For whatever reason, that made me more shaken up than I already was.
