"Daddy please" Delaney whined as she sobbed in front of me.

"Baby I can't"

She cried harder.

I've been home for three days and it's hard since I can't do much because of my ribs.

Claire and my parents had been helping me out a lot.

"Delaney wipe your tears and come here" I said as I slowly lowered myself on to the couch.

She was upset because I couldn't carry her like she wanted me to.

She had really been struggling with this injury.

I think she was struggling more than I was

She walked over to me and climbed on to the couch next to me.

I pulled her close to my side and she laid her head on my chest.

"Feel better?" I asked as I gently ran my hand through her thin baby hair.

She nodded against my chest.

We sat like that about a half hour before there was a knock on the door.

Dills head shot up before she raced out of her seat and over to the door.

She stood there and waited for me since she knows she's not allowed to open the door.

I got up slowly and walked over and opened the door.

My eyes widen at who was on the other side.

"Hi Antonio"

He gave me a smile as I let him come in.

"Hello Braydon"

I've worked for Antonio forever.

We walked into the living room with dill holding my hand.

"Please have a seat" I said gesturing to the couch.

He sat down while I sat down next to him and dill climbed up next to me.

"This must be Delaney" Antonio said while looking at her.

"Dill say hi" I whispered to her.

She looked at me and then him before nervously raising her hand and waving.

I understand why she was nervous Antonio is a big tough looking guy.

He waved back to her and she gave him a small smile.

After about five minutes of them just waving back and forth at each other I had to say what I was thinking.

"Please don't fire me"

Antonio looked at me in shock.

"Why would I fire you?" He asked.

"I can't work and I probably won't be able to for about a month of so and I know you don't like workers who slack off..."
