I hadn't slept in over twenty four hours.

Delaney's had been missing for about ten hours.

In most cases, if kids are missing for more than forty eight hours they won't be found.

"Do you want some coffee?" Claire asked.

I had been sitting on my parents couch clinging to Delaney's blankie, just waiting for any kind of information.

I had cried more then I've ever cried in my life.

"No I'm okay" I said as I cleared my throat, trying to get rid of that feeling of crying that was slowly rising.

Claire sat down next to me on the couch but I didn't look at her.

I just kept my eyes facing forward as I rubbed dills blankie with my thumb.

"Braydon..." Claire started to say.

"Please don't" I whispered as a single tear fell.

"Braydon, you need to eat, you need to sleep" She said softly

"Braydon, you need to eat, you need to sleep" She said softly.

I knew she was trying not to upset me.

"I'm fine"

She placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Please Braydon, at least eat something"

I hadn't eaten since nine o'clock yesterday morning.

It was about five o'clock in the morning.

My parents were taking a nap while Claire and I stayed up.

Actually Claire stayed up willingly because I was just going to stay up by myself.

I leaned my head against Claire's shoulder.

I was exhausted but I just couldn't sleep.

Sleep was the last thing on my mind at the moment.

"Braydon just take an hour nap, I'll wake you up if something comes up"

I just shook my head.

She started running her fingers through my hair, which she knew put me to sleep.

Before I knew it I was drifting into darkness.

My eyes snapped open when I heard pans clinking together.

I was laying on the couch.

As soon as I realized that I had fallen asleep I sat up with dills blanket still wrapped in my arms.

I looked around and saw the sunlight streaming into the living room.

I set the blanket on the couch and then I got off the couch and went into the kitchen.

Claire was drinking coffee and my parents were making breakfast.
