(Eric's pov)

I walked to my locker and put my books away. I've been so stressed out and I'm pretty sure I failed my math test because of this. I sighed and rested my head against the locker. "Hey, Eric." I jumped and looked at Alec.

"Don't do that!" I said.

He laughed a little and said, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."

"Whatever, did you need something?" I asked.

"I saw you," he said.

"Okay?"

"I saw you hugging Ricky. You were talking to him. Telling him you didn't want to feel alone anymore." I blushed and bit my lip.

"So?" I said.

"We've been friends for three years and you choose him to finally break down to."

I glared at him and said, "I tried to! I told you my plan and I told you that I just didn't want to live anymore. You laughed in my face, I can't trust you or anyone that hurt me."

He looked down and said, "I'm sorry. . ."

"Save it," I said and waked away from him. I went outside and saw Ricky getting in his car. "Ricky, wait!" I shouted. He stopped and looked up at me as I ran towards him.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Do you want to come over?" I asked.

"Don't you want to hang out with your friends?" he asked.

"Right now, I have no friends," I said.

"Oh. . .well, I'll hang out. Let's go," he said. I smiled and got into his car. I took off my glasses and rubbed my eyes.

"You don't look right without glasses. I mean you don't look bad but I'm just not used to it," he said.

"Everyone says that," I said. He put on some music and 'Young volcanoes' by Fall Out Boy came on. "I love this song."

He laughed and said, "It just makes me want to clap along."

"Same, you have really good taste in music," I said.

"So do you." He pulled into my driveway and we got out. We walked into my house and saw my family all sitting on the couch.

"Hey, honey. How was school?" she said. She didn't even glance at me.

"It was okay, I brought a person home." I heard Connor laugh and mom turned to me.

"Don't you mean your friend?" she asked.

"Sure, let's go with that," I said.

She sighed and said, "Well, I'm happy you actually are hanging out with someone different than your other friends."

I shrugged and said, "They aren't really my friends anymore." They all nodded. "We'll be in my room." Ricky followed me up to my room and he sat on my bed.

"So, what do you want to do?" he asked.

"I actually wanted to talk to you," I said.

"Okay, about what?"

I sighed and said, "How. . .how did you know you were gay?"

"I don't know, I'm just attracted to boys and knew it. Why?"

"Just wondering," I said.

"I'm kind of curious, what made you tell me your true feelings?" he asked.

"I don't know, I just felt like I could trust you." I looked down and said, "I know it's stupid that I can trust you but I barely know you. I just get this overwhelming feeling when I with you." I blushed and saw Ricky had a huge smile on his face.

"You have no idea how much I needed to hear that," he said.

I laughed lightly and said, "Um, can I try something?" He nodded and I took a deep breath. I leaned in and Ricky did the same. I pressed my lips on his and I felt something in my stomach that I never felt before. I then realized what I just did and quickly pulled back. "What the fuck?! What did you do to me?!" I said.

"I. . .I didn't do anything. You kissed me!" he said.

"Just get out," I said.

"But, I thought you liked me?"

"I thought I did, too. Turns out I was wrong," I said. He looked so hurt and I couldn't help but feel a little bad. He walked out of my room and down stairs to go to his car. I saw him leave and I fell back onto my bed. What did I just do? Why the hell would I kiss him?! It has to be his fault, I just don't know how it is yet.

(Ricky's pov)

I drove home with tears in my eyes. My heart was just broken and there's no way to put it back together. I pulled into my driveway and got out of my car. I went inside and saw my family sitting on the couch. "Hi honey, how was school," Mom said, without taking her eyes off the TV.

"It was fine." My voice cracked and they all looked at me with worry written on their faces. Mom jumped up off the couch and hugged me.

"Honey, what happened?" she asked.

"I'm so stupid," I said. Cam got up and came over to me.

"Dude, you're so not stupid. Who said you were?" Cam said.

"No one, I just am."

"Who and what did they do to you?" Dad said.

"Eric," I said and started sobbing. Mom hugged me tighter and I laid my head on her shoulder just like Eric did to me.

"What did the little brat do?" Cam said.

I took a deep breath to calm down and said, "He invited me over to hang out. Then he asked me about how I found out I was gay. Then he kissed me. . .and after that he told me to get out and that he was wrong for trying to be friends with me," I said. Cam looked like he was about to punch something and Dad didn't look any better.

"Why the fuck would he do that to you?!" Cam shouted.

"Cam, language," Mom said.

"It's fine, guys, I just won't bother him anymore. If that makes him happy then that's fine with me," I said. I don't understand though, he begged me not to leave him alone yet, he kicked me out of his life. I sighed and said, "I'm going to go upstairs to think. Love you, guys." They all smiled at me and I went to my room to think about school tomorrow.
