I Wont Give Up On Us

Chapter 7

Sorry its taken me soooo long to continue with this story, I've been sooo busy with things in my life. 

I arrived at my meeting to see if my chemo has worked, say if it hasn't worked this time. Say if I die? I'm hoping it has worked but I suppose I can't always be lucky can I? 

I had Kyle Lewis and my Uncle Oliver with me. I was looking at the clock and the ticking of the clock got louder and louder and louder. I didn't hear that Kyle was talking to me. 

"Sophie?" Kyle said holding my hand. 

"What?" I said 

"You ok?" Kyle asked me

"Yeah, nervous.....say if the chemo hasn't work," I said 

"Then we will find a way"  Kyle said 

"Ok, but say if there is no other way and this is it for me?" I asked 

Sawyer couldn't come as he had work, I saw Tony and he looked so happy, he saw me and came over. 

"Everything ok?" I asked

"Everything is great, I just had my last dose of chemo, the tumour has gone!" Tony said 

"Congratulations," I said 

"You ok?" Tony asked 

"Waiting to hear if it's worked for me," I said 

"Good luck and let me know" Tony said and left with his son Harry and Harry's boyfriend Ste. 

The nurse called me in,  I looked at Kyle and he held my hand tight. 

"Do you want me to come in with you?" Kyle asked 

"Would you?" I asked Kyle 

"Yes," Kyle said, Oliver looked at Kyle and smiled 

Kyle and I walked in and sat down, I looked at the nurses face and I knew...I knew it was bad news. 

The nurse sat down and looked at me. 

"There is no easy way for me to say this but I'm afraid that the chemo hasn't worked this time around, but the good news is that your cancer hasn't spread," the nurse said 

"Nurse Flack, what's the next step then?" Kyle asked 

"We have chemo tablets that we want you to try, this treatment is done at home with regular check ups at the hospital. I'm so sorry that this isn't the news that you wanted to hear" Nurse Flack said 

"It's fine, my boyfriend and I want to start a family, can we?"  I asked 

"We wouldn't recommend it because there is a higher chance that the baby will....may have a deformity" Nurse Flack said 

"So you're saying that we should wait?" I said 

"Yes," Nurse Flack said 

Kyle and I left, Oliver was with Sawyer, Sawyer came running up to me and hugged me. 

"I'm so so so sorry that I wasn't here for you," Sawyer said 

"It's ok," I said giving Sawyer a kiss, Kyle walked up to Oliver

"Is she ok?" Oliver asked 

"No, it's not my place to say but the chemo hasn't worked," Kyle said 

"What do you mean?" Oliver said 

"Hun, it means that this form of chemo hasn't worked...Nurse Flack wants to put her on some chemo tablets, which means it's treatment done at home and she will only have to come into the hospital for regular check-ups" Kyle said and hugged Oliver.
