Chapter 37

Jaebum's hair was all styled up. He was in branded clothes from head to toe. He wore a black professional suit and he closed the door.
Hazel was trying to cook eggs, but, she wasn't very good at it.
He untied his tie, but was far too tired to take it off completely. He lay on the sofa.
Hazel sensed he was home, so she panicked as she briskly covered up her failed egg.
"Baby,"
Jaebum turned his head towards the kitchen. Hazel froze. Is he going to find out? That is SOOO embarrassing..
Hazel turned back as she used her body to cover the pan.
"Yeah..yeahh?" She stuttered.
Jaebum smiled warmly as he lifted his eyebrows. "I smell a masterpiece of yours, " he hinted.
Hazel's cheeks turned crimson red as she blinked profusely.
"I-i, this is not done by me..you know.. the maid came to....erm.. cook this before she left for her free day.." hazel found an excuse as she smiled sheepishly.
Jaebum chuckled. "Farah said she wasn't coming the entire day."
Hazel was lost for words, she just looked around.
"Come, come here, clumsy lil thing."
Hazel walked towards the sofa.
Jaebum pulled her hand and she was in his arms, on the sofa.
She blushed. "I-i still need to clean up"
He smiled softly. "Just let me..let me hug you..just for a moment..I'm really tired." His words trailed off as he rested his head on her shoulder, hugging her from the back.
"AND...CUT!"
Hazel and Jaebum let go of one another momentarily.
Hazel blinked a few times, it was still awkward. He just cuddled her after all.
"How..how are you recently? After you..erm.. left us." Jaebum tried to break the awkwardness.
Hazel swallowed her saliva.
"Urm..I.. Im fine. Mr Lim is a great manager. As you could see..Im the female lead in this drama.." Hazel smiled.
Jaebum looked down as he took off his tie. "Yeah, while I'm the second male lead.. i guess you are pretty popular now, since your acting is good and all..."
"Sorry." Hazel whispered.
"You should be, everyone was worried sick. Three years. You disappeared for three whole years." Jaebum mentioned.
"I'm sorry. I just knew I had to leave." Hazel muttered under her breath.
"Why? And why without a word?" Jaebum mentioned, with silent anger hiding within his tone.
"I told Sooyeon about it, and wanted her to tell you guys...what happened?" Hazel was confused.
Jaebum sighed and tears welled up his eyes.
"She's gone. Hazel, she's gone."
Hazel froze. She dropped the script and her lips parted but no words came out.
Sooyeon. Gone?
